    Thanks mate, she is a Grew x ACD, not Greyhound she is only 21", she is a great loyal worker, tough as teak, hyper prey drive, needed lots of training as a young dog to boss her but it has paid off, I feel I could take her anywhere and she wouldnt let me down.

    I used to travel to Scotland and over Brough way for 25 years or more, lamping, ferreting and bushing, I stopped lamping about 7 years ago and the last couple of years ferreting were very wet, standing in two inches of water, soaked putting nets on etc, I started getting chest infections all the time and had pneumonia, Im in my early 60's and the ACD is 7 and I decide i was stopping travelling and serious work, so I didnt want another lurcher coz I wouldnt do it justice, hence the whippet, Im out local every morning bushing and ratching and wanted a little ratcher to knock about with, we do lu

    Thanks Neal, and your right they do produce good lurchers, until I got this little bitch for the last few years I always had ACD first cross greyhound, all good workers but this little bitch has been the special one, her prey drive, scenting and ability to catch considering her lack of top end speed is great, still going strong at 7 but sadly probs my last dally with ACD, Are there any working ACD's in the UK and anyone breeding lurchers from them?     No mate packed up lamping about 7 years ago, i think, got the smaller cross for ferreting and bushing.

    No mate I have had ACD crosses for over 20 years, mainly first cross with Greyhound, she is the first Grew cross, I got her when I decided to pack in lamping, just wanted a little dog for ferreting and bushing, last of the line as well, just got a whippet pup, the ACD bitch in 7 now and the whippet is just for ratching about with, into my 60's now so nowt serious just want to be out everyday doing a bit of bushing and ratching. thanks for liking.

    Im the same mate out every morning for a couple of hours, different here, lots of rabbits about, old dog gets several hunts on, this time of year Im not wanting to catch, so glad the cover is coming on, just want one or two for the pup to learn ready for the back end, for nearly 30 years we used to travel into Scotland and over the country, lamping and ferreting, now into my 60's I just ratch about local, nothing serious but like to get out and about.

    5 Months mate, just use the summer to get him following the old bitch, pick up the odd bunny so hopefully come the back end he knows the score.

    How is the young whippet settling in ? Doing well following the old lurcher, learning all the time, caught a little bolter today and was retrieving it until old bitch made it detour, pleased with him.
