Further Update On New Lurcher Association
wild rover replied to Dewclaw69's topic in Lurchers & Running Dogs
Did you write the Ronseal adverts haha, just different words to mine, same story, good of Tim Bonner agreeing more could have been done, after all he was only the CA Director of Media, absolute rubbish your comment on rebranding but as everyone is entitled to their opinion, crack on, dont know about the rest of the New Committee but I hope you have help, good luck. The rebranding was not referring to C/A as you will no doubt become aware in due course you seem to be class I know what the rebranding was referring to, thats why I said it was rubbish, and dont get me wrong, whatever -

Further Update On New Lurcher Association
wild rover replied to Dewclaw69's topic in Lurchers & Running Dogs
The Previous Lurcher representatives didnt neglect lurcher work or owners, since the hunting ban the whole of the hunting fraternity and the CA have been very quiet until politicians started using the the repeal as a political vote winner. The previous lurcher representatives worked very hard for years prior to the ban, spent time, money and great effort working with the COH, CA and Politicians, they were accepted as a legitimate body representing Lurchers . The Whole system including COH and CA took their finger off the pulse thinking hunting had gone for good, instead of regrouping and c -

Further Update On New Lurcher Association

Posted 05 October 2015 - 07:25 PM I have been reading the posts on this subject and have been through all this ground prior to the Hunting Act, then it was done through the National Lurcher and Racing Club and The Association of Lurcher Clubs, The ALC was the Lurcher Organisation the Countryside Alliance recognised as the main representative of Luchers with them and the Council of Hunting. Many of the Countryside Alliance County Committees had a Lurcher Representative as the local voice for Lurchers. During this time a Lurcher Submission was also produced for the ALC by a member (Which can b -
Update On The National Lurcher Club.
wild rover replied to sandymere's topic in Lurchers & Running Dogs
I don't envisage this group doing any true lobbying of the government. If we are "affiliated" to the Countryside Alliance, that is their speciality. The more members the group has, the stronger our right to be heard will be. We need to be in it to win it. I have a feeling that the CA will want all its members to lobby MP's and all the clubs and organisations under the CA Banner, Im not sure that this club is needed as another club, theres loads already, what it needs to be is a replacement for the Association of Lurcher Clubs or to work with it, to unite all lurcher clubs and owners under -
Update On The National Lurcher Club.
wild rover replied to sandymere's topic in Lurchers & Running Dogs
I would like to think its about mutual benefit, what both parties can bring to the table, not promoting elitism for the CA, and lurcher people doffing their cap, that already exists and need dispelling, both parties should walk away from the table having negotiated the best terms and conditions suitable to both, some will be won, some conceded but a middle way, money will be the big stumbling block but we both need each other...sadly. I have in the past put aside personal differences to achieve a target and would do so again to get the right result, Go for it but go prepared. -

The CA will welcome you and your money like Arkwrights till, if it happens mate, sorry but I dont share your enthusiasm of Lurcher owners flocking to the CA, they will represent us but half hearted to swell the coffers, thats why all others retain their individual identity, Terriers, MFA, Coursing Club , self representation and a voice, as individual members you wont have that apart from being a member. I think you missed the point I was making, or I didn't make it well enough. Yes, a lurcher 'club' is a good idea but they must pay subs and these subs must go to the CA in order for them -
