Not to be too harsh on hunt terriermen but if it goes to ground almost anything will do the job on the day and most pros carry a selection for different jobs .Bolters were often other peoples failed digging dogs ,I know I gifted stuff to the hunt that didn’t really have what it takes to do the job regular .50% does seem a bit low Glyn but I’m guessing your being modest on that .Seems to be more and more getting out the game as time goes by these days ,even youngsters .

In the height of the so called Pandemic we saw people in beds hooked up to ventilators in hospitals so say at bursting point with same .Now call me pessimistic but either these hospitals have several hundred isolation rooms or the pics we were shown were of isolated cases .Not once were we shown wards of people all hooked up to ventilators as reported .We have been mislead for some reason or another but I guess we will never really know why .Its also arse about face why we are now required to wear masks in shops yet when the so called virus was at its most virulent we shopped without them lol

Out of likes but ?? One well known line used to be happy with 50 % and that from the man himself .I guess it depends on several factors .

Was talking in general Glyn .Over the years you must have an idea of some sort of percentage .75 % doing the job proper seems to be a good gauge .Anything less and the line is fading IMHO .More and your top notch in my book if it’s getting the graft that is .

Before I shot it there was a fox that I’m sure was switched on to the airgun shots and came running in to pick up rats .It waited until we moved sheds then stuffed it’s mouth full of rats to bury ,cache them I’m sure .

Shot 64 last night between the two of us so that’s 995 so far .Was hoping for the big G but not to be ,a school night got in the way .Heres a tip for you rat shooters .Spread sugar along where you see them most especially travel routes .They can’t carry it so stop to lick it .Works a treat .

Don’t pick anything up SI .The rats drag them in faster than we could gather them almost .Badgers and foxes do the rest I suspect .
