there is a dog on ll at the moment very like the one you were looking at! have you looked at the sight?
give a rescue a go you may most will still do a bit maybe not 400 rabbits a night every night but how many people really go out that much a a week?
you should get a fair idea of the dog once you meet it surely?

try and get your self a chiropractor!! i know its sounds a bit alternative but her in doors has one come see her horses and our bes had a prob with her shoulder after a tug of war type game.was the same went away then came back etc.
after one treatment with heat lamp thing and the bird cracking bones etc she was 90% then 3 weeks later another treatment and she is like another dog!! back up to speed and jumping like a gazelle!!

its very hard here i have been trying in a 30 mile radius for years to shoot on shotty or air but no joy!! its because there is a businessthat runs pigeon days and they buy up all the permission round here!
its also the hassle farmers round here get from kids with air guns or dogs etc!it puts them off letting any one on as they never know its you or someone else so they would rather not bother!
im from a farming familey but as most of the land is owned by big land owners it dont help!! as for lamping its very hard to do it round here with out permission as old bill soon turns up and us
just wondering why other terriers are'nt used in lurcher mixes? is it that the beddies are so good or is it that they are quiet? i see that wheatons are used but not many of the others.
is it a size thing?do the smaller terriers come up to small?or is it just fashion?
im thinking of patterdales etc? i would think they have a bit more fire than some or is this not true in the crosses or is it to much fire?
cheers scott
!!!!
that is some swimming!!!! they dont look like they would be good swimmers!! then if i had a few dogs after me i may become fairly good me self
do they usually go for the neck or the arse? or is it just each dogs way? i guess the neck is prefered so meat better? can any size do it? if the deer isn't to big?(i wouldn't think we are talking red deer here are we??)

that sounds about right for one of plummers books!!!
my dogs are a bit to lightly built for anything but rabbits(and have always got there nose on the floor so would never see the deer any way) we have rescues so not to sure whats in them but the bitch looks kinda saluki whippet bull grey ish? and the boy is collie beddy x but so much in him its hard to tell.
it must be a impressive thing to see(or must of been in the good old days ) is it more risky than fox?(if that's risky? i suppose with a good dog it isn't?)there just seems to be a lot of power in the hind legs so it must have a
