Next door neighbour to the left was an Akita, Pitbull to the right, Kangal next door but one, Dogo on the corner! Lol Thing is, people get Staff's but they'd really like a APBT, but in truth don't want one because they are too much dog for their needs lol. It's a nightmare having dog aggressive dogs, I don't give me dog the chance, he's on the lead whenever I'm near other dogs. I like Staffs, but the vast majority now are as soft as a brush, great dogs for a family.

All breeds are related at some point, it just depends how far you go back. The KC Staff is an offshoot of the old Pit Dogs.

There's game and there's game mate. But think about it, they are one of the closest related breeds to the out and out out dogs so it's of no surprise that many were still game and could scrap. I've never bought the idea of the Staffordshire Bull Terrier being the oldest of the bull breeds, form always follows function, not the other way around. The APBT is the true representative of the Pit Dogs of the British Isles.

Mate, they're not the same dogs, the KC Staff was developed by fanciers, yes, many dogs were still matched, but they are not the true representative of our old pit dogs, the APBT is.

Staffs are show dogs by creation, even if many were worked.
