  1. How do you know people aren't protesting in China? Your logic doesn't make sense, I drive a diesel car/petrol car because of financial reasons, when electric cars become more affordable I will make the switch. And that doesn't mean one can't support climate change actions?
  2. Tell me about that, I've been detouring that c**t for over a here, it's supposedly completed in August, I'll believe it when I see it, useless c**ts.
  3. Is it in the thick of the Lakes then, I've never been tbh, the closest I've got is driving to Carlisle!
  4. The flat earth thread is way mate.
  5. Too much of the latter on here.... Haha
  6. Agree, I'm not rising to it. Lol
  7. Pollution, deforestation, habitat loss, they all contribute mate.
  8. More than 99.9% of studies agree: Humans caused climate change | Cornell Chronicle NEWS.CORNELL.EDU More than 99.9% of peer-reviewed scientific papers agree that climate change is mainly caused by humans... It's just a scam and the scientists are all in on it, how do I know, Karen on FB shared a post and I'd rather believe her! Lol
  9. You have shit for brains mate, so, you show me a source citing that the majority of the scientific community agree that it's a scam.
  10. It was a draconian judge by the sounds of it, looks like he wanted to set an example.
  11. That's why IMO, public awareness and concern about climate change drives demand and actions for cleaner energy. I agree, the complete elimination of fossil fuels is a big ask, but we are innovators mate, nothing is impossible if you want it enough.
  12. It's not though really is it mate, the scientific community and peer reviewed studies are universal, climate change is real. But again, that doesn't mean that we have good policies or a clear plan to combat it, but maybe that's because the elites aren't interested? At some point they will have to face the music mate.
  13. But we can and still have a big influence on others, no? Isn't it a collective issue, if we can set a good example it may sway others in to taking action in the future? Isn't that the idea of protest, to try and make political change and push for solutions?
  14. Any recommendations for long weekends away in August? I would prefer a nice lodge somewhere with lots of beautiful scenery and maybe a hot tub for good measure.
  15. I was there on Friday pal, you must have seen me, bald adonis?
  16. In the future it could very well be a small price to pay, if predictions of future catastrophe prove true. What's a million pounds worth of obstruction compared to billions?
  17. It would be interesting to see if he came on the scene today wether he could compete at the top with the emphasis on break building. I'm of the opinion that talent is talent, he would do fine.
  18. 5 years for conspiracy to protest, rapists and paedophiles often get less! Now I don't entirely agree with their tactics, but a protest is meant to cause inconvenience or else it wouldn't get noticed, but, they are targeting the wrong people I guess.

    Prepping

No, I'd just rob your lot who's done all the prepping for me.
  20. An argument against that is if they didn't cause any inconvenience then their protest wouldn't gain any publicity or awareness. You cleary don't agree with their agenda, but sentences like that set a dangerous precedent IMO, it could bite any of us in the ass in the future.
  21. A scene from the Revenant?
  22. So, you think protesters should be sentenced to longer than 5 years in prison for protesting? What do you suggest, unlimited fines & 10 years, or more?
