  1. Hi all, i put a thread up a while back about my BSA meteor. It will cock, and when you pull the trigger, it makes a normal noise, but the pellet doesnt come out. I have put a new breach seal in but no difference. what do you think the problem is?
  2. beuty of a knife, how much is it gonna cost though lmao
  3. there is a guy on here, apparently makes the best spun nylon nets in this kingdom lmao, forgotten his name but if you search it his for sale bit might come up. I think it was sommit like sewlen frogget
  4. hi mate, if you can, get 2 older jills to start you off. If you can find them it would be alot easier for getting into it. buy yourself about 50 purse nets and a longnet if you can (traditional or quickset) get a locator and a spade, a carry box and all the rest you will need. I found it alot easier starting with lots of stuff, unlike one of my mates which started with very little, and couldnt manage the burries
  5. because, when hes blocked from the site, the poor guy will never get his money back, and there could be a genuine reason after all, im not justifying it at all though
  6. I wouldnt personally feed a ferret a rat, but it is done a fair amount. I dont like the thought of it as i wouldnt fancy eating a rat myself lmao
  7. go to stubbys 'alternative ferret finder' pinned topic in the ferreting bit.
  8. PM diggermad for his number
  9. I see some of them I miss in the nets going as far as I can see, and others going back three or four holes away, the biggest problem is no dogs, digging or shooting is allowed!! The land owner isnt out to get rid of the rabbits at all, and I had a job even getting permission! But I doubt he has walked as far through the ground as I have, there are actually large areas that have just caved in when I walked on them its so dug!! then tell him to stick it as its impossible without dogs or guns.
  10. PM molecatcher the picture mate, he will know what its made of. if you want decent nets, get hemp. or go on thenetloft.net
  11. PM me if you are selling collars. I will take em all if you want
  12. I never called her an idiot, but she was responsible for the dog
  13. because if a warren is as extensive as described, then the cover is going to be all around making it practically impossible to longnet successfully but plenty lurchers on the burry and locators on al the ferrets should be fine, but you will have to be prepared to dig a fair amount
  14. on my MK1 box, when you open up the back, it says MK3 on the wheel. It is only an 8ft wheel so i presume they are the same.
  15. this might sound a bit harse, but if she new the dog had issues, then it should have been on a lead. and living on a farm myself, it would be very annoying if a dog came up and started biting the sheep. The farmer hasnt done owt wrong and he has had to put time and money into dealing with the sheep. I dont blame him for wanting to follow it to court but thats just my opinion. I hope it works out good on both sides of the story.
  16. try the refurbished ones which DM probably has told you about. I think they are only 40 pounds for a box and 40 for a collar
  17. if your going to use ferrets, try and get together as many people as you can (you may find a few on here) if it is very very big you may need 10 + ferrets. also use as many purse nets as possible, longnets cutting the burry up as much as often, and as many dogs as you can. good luck mate, sounds like a job I wouldnt fancy doing
  18. ive got a bigun at home, the only problem, because of his size, he doesnt get the work all my jills get.
  19. mainly rabbit in season, but dry food is available all the time
  20. get a nice big hutch, and keep it out of the sun and wind etc. should be fine mate
  21. adding to that, below the longnetting section on the main page, there is a link to magnums traps. Go on the longnetting and i think it has a diagram of a grommit http://www.magnumtrap.com/longnet-instructions.html
