Sorry, but i dont understand what you mean" block them in each end"?? The rabbits will be mostly congregated in the "stop end" anyway pal! And theres only one way out. So blocking in them in means nothing. You would realize this if you had used a locator, and followed your ferret underground, and worked out the earth. A "good thin working" ferret will find the stop end, and then flush your rabbits out. If you enter a big dog ferret, you will often find that when he reappears, that he has rabbit fur hanging from his claws, blood around his mouth and so on. This is where he has reached t

runforyourlife, that is what I do and all my ferrets IMO are crackers. they know what they are doing and dont hang about and are DEFFO working ferrets. That is just MY way and i wasnt telling him he must do it MY way! lmao. he asked and I answered. Also if you didnt know, a ferret kils in the burrow, eats and sleeps it off, lmao. so if you feed it too much it wont have a huge amount of energy. its not starving the fert as it is only one night without food and they get a belyfull on the way. also, do you still want those pegs? as I havent got the dosh yet

also mate, if ya dont use an electric devise then when they dont turn up, dont stand sqeauking and calling for em, if you are nice and quiet so they dont realise your there, they come up. IMO.

its a purse net and its a square one as i cant master spahing them yet. but they should work and for a while they will only be for my own use

Eighteen's a lot for a longnet Will, I used to do a lucky thirteen which is more than enough in my opinion. If you're making a 50 yard longnet you'll need another 800ish rows.. If it's purse nets you're doing it's up to you on the length you want, four footers are a nice size imo so you will need twenty ish.. Ok mate, its a purse net

i have found these last few trips, if you starve the ferrets the night before, then put them in a fairly large box on the way with a bit of dry food, they are full enough to not eat what they kill and not so full they wont work, so that may work

on small burries its ok with no locator, but if your doing big burries, your gonna have to be prepared to dig a fair bit. I wouldnt if I was you. just buy an MK1 or MK3

yes, I do agree that if you are going to not use the catch then atleast put them in a big amount of cover for foxes or dispose of them some other way, not just leave em where they are shot...

Its vermine mate, IMO. If we catch alot of rabbits, we use as many as possible but that sometimes means 20 rabbits in the hedge. on our farm and others we get rid of the rabbits for pest controll and not for eating. so we kill as many as we can and try not to let many get away
