    hi Wurz the 97 is doing OK,would like to do more pellet test once it has settled down! but boy is that rifle accurate out of the box! Also I want to use it a year before i decide whether to send it to sand well fieldsports for there magic touch I am all in favour of tying simon up,but we are going to need a big tow rope,he is a big lad is our simon!! I shall try some of Si's challenges between now and the meet! and see if they can be done ,but at a closer range it being a spring rifle, I shall say 20yds to start with! all from a bench rested position,then prone Davy

    hi i wouldn't say they are as good as the N550,its a incredible piece of kit! there is a few members who have done whet you are about to,and they are pretty good,to see out to air rifle range! possible further,depending on magnification and power of IR.seek Rommel's or PIL they both use the add on's I don't think they have to keep moving there scope though,as this would mean you would have to re-zero every time you use it,non productive is that in my eyes! they both seem to do OK with there add on's and bag regularly hope this helps!     we shall have to have some sort of spring rifle shooting small comp as well Si I shall bring the AATX200HC .177,HW97KT .22,BSA Meteor .22,BSA Cadet major .177 as long as people respect them, I dont mind them using them! Davy

    hi Martin welcome tot he forum I own 2 of the rifles mentioned,and have shot the R10.all out of the box pretty much as accurate as one another! which ever you choose you will not be disappointed, I also have a sweet spot for the Theoben SLR98 .177,but then i went on and bought a HW97KT nickel plated .22 lovely to shoot good luck in your quest!     hi buddy I have done a couple of refurbs on the BSA Meteor,cost me around £60.00 for the parts,the rest was sweat and tears! I still have one of them,so I am keeping hold it it! as for selling it I dont think I would get much change out of £70.00 its self! Davy
