    Lol well the experience I’ve had and heard about GWP and crosses they have heart defects I’ve 3 here at the moment and doing ok but the dog I’ve here his full brother died this year so fingers crossed mine will be fine atb

    It depends how good your lurchers nose his hounds only hunts as fast as his nose

    Well these are all diffrent lines of Gwp and too a mixed bred lurchers as said a pointer hunts slow the plod along a Lurcher hunts faster when crossed if it follows the pointers heart it will give up atb

    I lost one 2 year ago so bred a litter off diffrent lines and the pup I give to a mate died in jan this year on the mountain same thing blood from nose and mouth

    They are both HPR no different they point that’s what it says on the tin I’ve got Gwp Lurcher mix but I know somebody who as a few GSP and I’d never rule them out as vermin dogs definitely not atb

    It’s like this a Gwp like a welsh hound a Gsp like a fell hound the GSP is faster and as more agility and on the killing side I’ve seen a GSP dispatch a cat in seconds atb

    Yes they will hunt all day at his own pace he would never hunt as fast as a Lurcher and that’s where they blow up besides there’s good and bad in any bred there’s as good hunters in bedlington collie or hound crosses atb

    I know of 3 in as many years and there’s been a few before that time I’d make sure if crossing but a dose of terrier blood in the mix

    Yes lads they overheat and die on the spot mine never made it back to me if it wasn’t for the collar I’d never have found him usually blood from mouth and nose atb

    Well crossed to a faster animal they overheat and pass away there’s been a few over as many years atb

    GWP blods along like a Diesel engine you put a greyhound with that it just cooks hunts to fast try it lads atb

    Plenty of good ones about purse will hunt and rat very good put a little mix in the breed and you should have a good working terrier below ground

    If they bred right they will drop to ground if your out bushing it’s in the animals DNA atb

    Most of us use beddy with a touch of fell terrier in the mix plenty of good workers about atb

    Yes he was a nice type lacked speed and agility but that’s the first cross for you that’s why I outcrossed away atb

    I’ve had a few over the years from 1st x to pointer x Lurcher too pointer x Lurcher I find the bit a far better but there no better on the nose too a beddy x or collie x I’ve still got 2 here now but my old beddy x was better imo

    Yes mate he was a real bull x not heavy very athletic and could take everything in the field and not get smashed up really intelligent animal atb

    I put indie over my bedlington x greyhound and wow what a difference top animal he was no dog aggression at all

    I’ve a chance too use a coursing breed merlin and eve line over my bitch I do moorland hunting will these type of dog hunt cheers dai

    Hi mate I’ve got a chance too use an old rough coated merlin and eve line dog over my bitch I do a lot of hunting on the mountains dogs have got to go out and use they’re nose to find game would this type of dog bring anything into my style of work cheers dai

    Bedlington x by any chance if so it looks like a hot spot my terriers have them sometimes keep them moist antibiotic cream if possible
