You can buy a 2-acre plot for keeping chickens, pigs, sheds, and a caravan, but you need to check local planning rules. Agricultural or non-residential land usually requires permission for structures or caravans. Make sure the land has legal access, utilities (water, waste, electricity), and clear boundaries. Costs will include the land itself plus any development or permission fees. Consulting the local planning authority before buying is essential.

Best Setup for Laser Target Practice at Home?
amadolabonte replied to amadolabonte's topic in Game Shooting
thanks in advance for any help -
Hey everyone, I'm looking to set up a laser target practice system at home and could use some advice. I'm mainly interested in improving accuracy and reflexes without the hassle or expense of live ammo. What equipment do you recommend? Laser cartridges, reactive targets, or apps? Are there specific brands or setups that work best for dry fire drills? Also, how much space do I realistically need for effective practice? I'd love to hear from anyone who's already tried it. Any tips or mistakes to avoid would be greatly appreciated.

Sounds like a great opportunity for an experienced, insured shooter. With visible warrens and regular activity, it should be manageable. Hopefully someone local can help you out and deal with the rabbits quickly and humanely.

Try checking with specialist shooting or country clothing retailers in the UK like John Shooter or Harkila. Some offer larger sizes or can special order them. You can also look into international brands that ship to the UK, as they often carry sizes up to 5XL or more.

Sounds like they have landed yourself a lovely little spot by the sea—worth every shilling, no doubt! You're right, you can't take it with you, so might as well enjoy it. As for owd rat droppings, maybe they're just running late today!

Spray foam would give you better air sealing and insulation performance in the 2-inch gap, especially if your shed isn’t perfectly tight. However, it’s more expensive and harder to DIY. Kingspan sheets (rigid foam boards) are more affordable and easier to install yourself, but you'll need to cut and fit them precisely and seal the edges well to avoid air leaks. If budget allows, spray foam is more effective. Otherwise, Kingspan with good sealing can still work well.

Best Log Splitter for Home Use – Recommendations?
amadolabonte replied to amadolabonte's topic in General Talk
thanks in advance for any help -
Hey everyone, I’m in the market for a reliable log splitter for home use and could really use your advice. I’ve got a mix of hardwood and softwood, and I’m splitting about a cord or two each season. I’m considering electric versus gas models but not sure which is better for my needs. Portability and ease of use are also important since I’ll be moving it around the yard. Anyone have personal experience or brand recommendations? What tonnage should I be looking at?

Hello everyone. Has anyone used the acrylic photo albums from the site offering custom photo products with a focus on luxury presentation? I'm especially curious about the quality of the acrylic covers, page durability, and overall finish. I'm considering using one to present a portfolio for a high-end client and want to ensure it gives the right impression. How do they compare to traditional leather or linen albums in terms of appearance and longevity? Also, are they prone to scratching or fingerprints? Any insights or personal experiences would be really appreciated

Hey everyone, I’m looking to partner with a reliable fishing gear manufacturer and could use your advice. I’m particularly interested in sourcing high-quality rods, reels, and tackle for a new brand I’m developing. Quality and consistency are key, but pricing and minimum order quantities also matter. Ideally, I’d like to work with a manufacturer that’s open to private labeling and can handle mid-sized orders. Any suggestions on manufacturers you’ve had good experiences with? Also curious about any red flags or issues I should watch out for.

Reolink and Eufy offer good wireless options that are easy to set up if you have strong Wi-Fi. If you want more reliability and better video quality, go for a wired PoE system like Reolink PoE or Hikvision. Wireless is easier, but wired is more stable long term.

It sounds like the wedding went really well despite the challenges, and it's awesome that you’ve received inquiries for paid events after pulling it off! If you’re feeling up for it and the timing works, taking on those paid gigs could be a great way to turn your efforts into something sustainable, especially with more people willing to pay for the experience. You’ve definitely earned the opportunity to say "no more family favors" after this one!

Using the slow cooker for 5 hours with fresh rabbits and a mix of vegetables, sausages, and herbs is a great way to make a flavorful and hearty casserole. The extra touch of herbs definitely enhances the taste, and it's great that you’re following your grandad's advice for the best result.

Yeah, most of the THC stuff you see online in the UK is either fake, weak, or a straight-up scam. Since recreational THC isn’t legal, there aren’t really any legit online sources. Your best bet is looking into medical cannabis if your mate qualifies, or checking out CBD shops that sell full-spectrum products (which have tiny amounts of THC but won’t get you high). If a website is claiming to sell strong THC products and ship them openly in the UK, it’s probably too good to be true.

You might want to check local tool hire companies like HSS Hire, Brandon Hire Station, or Speedy Hire—they often have aluminum scaffold towers available for rent. If you're looking to buy second-hand, try Facebook Marketplace, Gumtree, or eBay, as you might find one at a good price nearby. Also, local builders’ merchants or scaffolding suppliers in the Midlands could have something available.

Yes, in the UK and Ireland, medical cannabis is legal for certain conditions and can be delivered to your door from licensed pharmacies. To access it, you need a prescription from a qualified doctor, typically after other treatments have failed. The process is relatively straightforward, but it's regulated, and not everyone may qualify. It's best to consult with your doctor to see if it's a suitable option for you.

Wedding Photographer Question
amadolabonte replied to amadolabonte's topic in Wildlife and General Photography
thanks in advance for any help -
Hello everyone! I’m in the process of planning my wedding and looking for a photographer who can really capture the essence of our special day. We want someone who has experience with outdoor ceremonies and can work with natural lighting. It’s also important to us that the photographer has a creative approach to candid shots, as we want to capture genuine emotions. If you have any recommendations or tips on what to look for in a wedding photographer, I’d greatly appreciate it! Also, how far in advance should we book?

Can-Am Commander Accessories Question
amadolabonte replied to amadolabonte's topic in 4x4's, Quads & ATV's
thanks in advance for any help -
Hey everyone! I recently purchased a Can-Am Commander and I'm excited to customize it! I'm looking for recommendations on accessories that enhance performance and comfort. Specifically, I'm interested in things like bumpers, storage options, and any aftermarket parts that can improve the riding experience. I've heard great things about windshields and roofs, but I'm not sure which brands are the best. Are there any must-have accessories that you all would suggest for both trail riding and general use?

After two days of hiking after pigs I think I need some hunting hiking boots. What would you recommend that's waterproof and super comfy. Even in hot weather.
