    I was talking basics. I remember buying Hawkins book Brief History of Time, and struggled with some of it. Then he brought out An Illustrated Breif History of Time for dullards like me so I got that. All I learned was I bought two books to not understand the same things ! LOL ! Cheers.

    There’s four known forces, gravity , electromagnetic, strong nuclear and weak nuclear. GUT , ( great unifying theory, ), unifies Electromagnetic, strong and weak nuclear forces. TOE, ( the theory of everything ) is attempting to unify all four forces, but cannot reconcile gravity with the other three. Basic physics.

    That’s not the point. You agree with me that primates evolved from a common ancestor. That’s EVOLUTION, Creationists vehemently oppose this and believe the biblical version of god making man out of clay and humans have no relationship with other primates whatsoever. You can’t believe both ! Cheers.

    What has that got to do with evolution ? It’s binary, mate You either believe in Evolution or creation, you can’t believe in both. You have already said you believe primates evolved from a common ancestor, so do I . Creationism believes god formed a human from clay and blew life into it creating Adam. I respect anyone who believes either view and I certainly wouldn’t attempt to proselytise anyone, but you can’t believe in both evolution AND creationism. Cheers.

    I don’t need to mate. Creationists don’t believe in evolution, it’s an anathema to them to suggest we are related through evolution to apes and monkeys by a common ancestor, nothing to do with macro or micro evolution. You, not you personally, either believe we have a common ancestor with apes, evolution, or you believe the creation version. The two are incompatible, it’s either one or the other. I personally don’t believe in god, but that doesn’t mean god couldn’t have created evolution. Cheers.

    So you agree animals evolve. Humans , apes and monkeys are primates, and you agree that primates evolved from a common ancestor. So evolution is real ? Im not trying to trap you or have a “gotcha” moment, but previously you’ve denied evolution, now you seem to agree with it. I can’t see how evolution is incompatible with believing in God , maybe evolution was/is Gods plan ? Cheers.

    Francie, mate, I’m not doubting your faith. You believe the bible is literal, I believe it is mainly allegorical , made up of parables, exaggerations and prophecies. I could question many things from the bible, but there’s one that may fit the narrative of creation versus evolution; Noah’s Ark .
