When my older brother was training to be a miner, they used to go down a training pit; whitewashed walls and fluorescent lights !
First time he came up from a days graft down a real pit he jacked and retrained as a joiner !
Cheers.

Edited to add:
As you can see you can not engineer out springs as they are actually part of the strata, you can only TRY and engineer a diversion of course when they over flow (say after a prolonged period of rain) and I’m guessing they ain’t factoring that into most housing development budgets…..Im guessing most builders won’t even commission a geological survey to see if they are there in the first place.
That’s alright for you to say; but if psi is being used a variable, as it appears here, (h = z + psi), then it’s of no use to Paulus.
It would need to be a constant, relating to the gradient x length, (average), of his property !
Im sure my mate mC would be in complete agreement !

Cadbury has said it’s nothing to do with them; it was one independent outlet that changed the name.
Im not having that….Cadbury must have gave them permission to change the name of a product.

I heard they'd already been arrested when they flm video of complaints with other coppers, Scottish first minister is the one to worry about bringing it anti freedom of speech laws,
I don’t think it was to do with wether the people with swastikas were arrested or not, mate, it was the fact the police told the Jewish woman that the swastikas had to be “taken in context” !
A pro Palestine/Hamas, anti Jewish/ Israeli protester with Nazi signs could only be taken in one context, I would have thought ?Seemed to me the police in question simply didn’t want to get involved .

How fickle are fans , ehh ?
West Ham fans giving it the “ole’s” and singing “ sit down if your 3-1 down”.
Ten minutes later the Newcastle fans singing “stand up if your 4-3 up” and the West Ham fans abusing the manager and the players and one of the players giving the fans the finger as he boarded the bus !
As someone once said; “ it’s a funny old game” !Cheers.

Mrs has taken in a foster dog from local charity as she knew id be happy to have it around. The pup has apparently been locked in a create since birth (thats what they have been told) currently estimated to be around 5 months old, emaciated and scared of people but loves other dogs and not fazed by kids at all. She is now getting more confident around us though and allowing us to stroke her and not bolting everytime we move.
Her diet mainly consisted of white bread according to people who bred her so first thing we have done is get her on some decent food and try build her up. She could hardly walk when we picked her up and certainly couldn't run, legs were simply too weak.
Tbh she's a lovely little pup and since I've been considering another pup for a while now, it kind of suits me that she's here.
We were told what other dogs were around when this pup was rescued so I have my thoughts about her breeding.
Has anyone previously had any joy getting a rescue working successfully? We've got 2 weeks before the charity start promoting her for permanent home but we have first refusal if we wanted to keep her.
Meet Jenny.

Them injuries seem to come from nothing really given there injury record I wonder if it's something to do with training or would you think it's just back luck I forgot you had Barnes he took that 4 goal brilliantly kudus is some player it was shame Gordon got sent of but he knows the rules
I don’t know about how the injuries occour mate, I can only guess it’s the high intensity, high pressing game Newcastle play.
As for Gordon, yeah we will miss him for two games, but Barnes isn’t a bad replacement !Cheers.

In this instance mate, I don’t think it is that.
Ships have been manned with these lads for decades now, senior officers tend to be Europeans etc.
I’d imagine getting a job crewing a ship is much like being accepted to be a Gurkha…..that’s them secure for life and prepared to be away from home for long periods of time.
Quite right, Wilfy.
Almost 50 years ago I did some work on a “Round Table Class” RFA vessel, same as the Sir Galahad that was sunk in the Falklands War.
The Chief Engineer was American and the below deck crew were Chinese, Formosans, actually, but the Captain and Officers were British.
Nothing new to having TCN crews.
Cheers.

Interesting Brunel fact coming up, he built box tunnel near bath the longest tunnel in the world at the time I believe and each year on his birthday the sun rise shines through the tunnel from one end to the other, design or pot luck ???but f***ing excellent snippet of useless information lol
I saw that on a documentary one time.
If man is still around in 2000 years, they will discover it and assume it had some mystical or religious symbolism like Stonehenge or the pyramids!

The Royal Family told MI5, MI6, CIA, Bill Gates, the W.E.F. , the Rothschilds, the Illuminati, (take your pick), to hack the ship’s computer system and make it hit the bridge, to take the attention away from Catherine !
Thought I’d just get in first ! LOL !

We were talking about this, this morning.
My view was that those two b*****ds that beheaded Lee Rigby , and other evil people like them, should wake up every morning looking forward to the same treatment…..

I may be wrong, and I’ll get shit for it, but I hope our, my, football team never win another match while wearing that shirt with the adulterated flag adorning it !
Our flag doesn’t just represent our country; it represents US !
No other country in the world would allow there flag to be desecrated.

GBP to Turkish Lira
in General Talk
Posted
I’ve never been to a country where I couldn’t get local currency from an ATM and the rates were always comparable to any other means of exchange.
A couple of tips, if bartering in Turkey, never pay more than half what they first ask .
If you are going to use your card a lot, let your bank know which country you will be in so they don’t put a lock on it for “unusual transactions”.
Cheers.
