  2. I may be old and not up to speed , (pardon the pun), but why would you need an app to go for a good walk ?
I fancy walking from Wallsend to Carlisle along the Roman Wall route, but I wouldn’t need an app to do it. Maybe an ordnance survey map, or just a compass and a watch.

Or even just look at the sun and head west !  LOL !

    Cheers.

He spent more on buying a fake Da Vinci painting than he did on acquiring Newcastle.

£300 million is a drop in the ocean, the king spends more than that on a two week holiday in Morocco, the Crown prince’s yacht cost more than that.

If it wasn’t for Financial Fair Play they would be spending billions on the Toon .

They bought the land between the Gallowgate and the Strawberry to build a fanzone and the building is well under way, bars, food outlets, giant screens for the poor unfortunates that can’t get a ticket for the match .

Happy days are here again , humdillillah ! LOL !

    Cheers.

I got my daughter in law to bring a load of black and white shemaghs over from Saudi, SR 10 ( £2 ) each. Sold them to the lads for £5 each, didn’t want a big profit, saw it as my civic duty ! LOL !
    Bismillah.

great fun isnt it! Im more interested in pottering about these days rather than thrashing it. Going to get back in the horse saddle and do some trekking with the dogs that way as well.

I’m to old and fat these days to get in the saddle ! LOL !

I’m old enough to remember when the pubs and shops charged us one shilling in the pound to accept Scottish notes, and the club in the local village still has a sign today “ No Scottish £20 notes accepted “ !

  8. No conspiracy lads, it happens every year around this time in Arabia, I’ve seen it myself many times.

I spoke to my daughter in law who lives in Saudi and has family in Dubai, she said it was just the seasonal rains.

None of these places has street drainage and they get torrential rain for a few days a year and of course there’s floods but a few days later it’s gone.

Sensational reporting by the media, if you look at the videos, there’s flooding on one side of a street and bone dry on the other .

The kids used to love it when our compound flooded , we would tow them around the streets in dinghy’s towed by cars !

    Cheers.

There's two kinds mate...there are proper traffic cops ....usually the transport police...and there's highways agency traffic officers there not police and have no real power....just there to assist cops with incidents...with regards to road safety

I hate to be pedantic mate, but the Transport police and the Traffic police aren’t the same.
They are both proper police, but different units, the Transport police deal mainly with the railways and maybe the airports. The Traffic police are the ones you see on the motorways.

Theres also a little known unit called the Civil Nuclear Police who protect all nuclear facilities and the transport of nuclear materials.

They are separate divisions but do sometimes cross over, when those Stop Oil fanatics sprayed red paint over the Ministry of Defence building recently, it was the Transport police who were first on the scene, before a further different force, the Ministry of Defence police arrived.

A bit confusing, but they are all police, the Highways Traffic Officers aren’t.

    Cheers.

  10. Just came up a slip road onto the A1 and there was a two car crash on the slip road. The traffic highway people were there in a Toyota Hilux pick up, one lad was directing traffic and putting cones out, the other was attending to people in the cars.

Bit churlish, I think, to slag them off.

    Cheers.
