I couldnt agree with you anymore. I just will NOT do it with bread. It makes no sense. We know wheat is pure shit so lets feed it. No sense at all.

Good post and I agree with most of it. Running dogs need carbs and so do humans. Sure you can go without but your performance is gonna suffer and I dont care how pro BS keto diet paleo gayness you are. Its not gonna work as well as eatin like a performance athlete and that does include carbs sorry.

Finally! Yes wheat is f****n horrible for you. I dont care if you are "allergic" to it or not nobody should be eating it. Do you know why we eat wheat and drink milk? Cuz its f****n cheap and the government can subsidise it, control it, and produce it in massive amounts and feed their huge ass population cuz they are too afraid to hurt people feelings by telling them. "Hey folks yall are makin too many damn babies. Stop gettin married cuz its retarded and stop f****n without birth control ya silly fuckers." Thats pretty much my point. Just cuz folks have always done it dont make it right. If people would just stand back and evaluate the situation and have just a basic knowledge of nutrition about them they would say, "What the f**k am I doing that for?" And then they would just stop doin silly shit that dont matter.I was carrying on....,of course I know how to feed my dogs...lol....but they still get brown bread... But why? Whats the point in it? Look at the facts and tell me why it makes any sense at all to continue with a feeding regiment that is antiquated at best.its only a very small pe

Oh and my favorite is pouring gravy over bread and considering that a meal fit for a dog and actin like its something magical and just gonna pour the pounds on said such critter. Ya nast ass wheat flour mixed with a lil bit of gravy and milk is the answer to all of life's problems. HAHA! Give me a break. We are the only dumbass mammals on this earth that drink milk after we are adults.

Bread is nothin but a carb which there are plenty of in dry dog feed. Bread costs a shit ton more per calorie too cuz its human grade. And wheat is utter shit and is horrible for not only the dog but you also. Ya ya we all eat it but that dont make it right. Carbs 4 cals per gram. Dont matter how you want to debate it thats the bottom line and bread is more costly than dog feed so why in the hell would you feed it. A descent cup of dog feed is goin to have 400 plus cals in it and its way way cheaper than some nasty ass wheat bread.

And if a 10 month old's pin bones are showing, "You are doing it wrong!" The dog is either wormy or you are simply not feeding enough. There is zero reason though why a dog would need to eat dog gone bread at anytime during its entire life. Makes absolute zero sense whatsoever. I dont care what grandpappy dont know shit told you.

Not it doesnt. Why would feeding them wheat be more beneficial than just feeding more dry kibble? You have zero clue about basic nutrition obviously.

Feeding a dog bread when they make dry dog food makes absolutely zero sense at all. The dry feed is bad enough let alone feedin them f****n wheat.

I have a lot of long slips or what I call dumps and I dont care what dog you put in the back of the truck if that critter is haulin ass already and you dump at 200 yards you most likely aint catchin the sumbitch. If he stand there lookin at ya then yes of course he's f****d but if he is movin on out you just wasted your time but at least you get to see one helluva run.

Why is that most folks believe that a half cross this or a half cross that is so so so much faster than a half cross bulldog? Have these people actually seen the dogs run or just talkin shit?

Thats how I am pretty much but I could never hunt my dogs in that kinda heat. They would most likely be dead in a hurry. But as far as the ground goes. I have never once even gave that a consideration and I never will. Wet, dry, frozen, muddy as hell....it has no bearing on what we do. That kinda heat though would kill pretty much every single one of my fast dogs.

I would never use a deerhound myself. I would use a dog that is more suited to what I do personally and the deerhounds I've seen aint gonna cut it here.

Im far from the flat fens of Englandshire mate, Ive carried home too many greyhound based lurchers off these rocky hills. They are too fragile for me. Plus I dont need the speed that is needed on the low ground. To find and flush game up here a dog needs a bit of size, a good nose, a solid conformation, a good jacket is desirable and a tough robust body and feet that can run over these harsh rocky slopes. The game I hunt varies but mountain hare and boar are both common. If someone bred deerhound/pointer or perhaps another gundog breed, that should suit my needs, I wouldnt say no to a dee
