  1. Forget them, you can get hot hatches quicker nowadays that are more reliable and better on the juice. I recently went in a work mates tuned Golf R, quite a strange feeling tbh. No doubt it was quick, when he floored it the thing pushed me back in my seat but it felt all too stable and comfortable for me. Nothing like the adrenaline I felt when passenger in an old Civic Type R, that got the juices flowing.
  2. Yep that's the one, we could still be killed by an accident or something. I don't know if I'd want to live for ever truth be told. Like he said how would that work with your career and personal life? Could you see yourself sticking to the same job or even the same woman for hundreds of years? ? Yes, happiness is a conundrum we still haven't solved. Are we today actually any happier than the foragers of the past? He seems to think hunter gatherers had a more content lifestyle than those a part of the agricultural revolution. He seems to agree that genetics play a big part in happines
  3. It's more of a slow burner but all I'm doing at work is sat on the gate all day so got plenty of time to go at it, I've nearly finished it now. Yep Sapiens is great and really thought provoking, I wonder how it will play out for us in the future. We are some way off but he is predicting that we could possibly unlock immortality, I'm not sure if that would benefit the human race at all tbh.
  4. Not my pics, but off a guy I met on my walk yesterday. He's only been at it a few week and must say I'm impressed.
  5. These are some of the pics from the fella I bumped in to on my walk yesterday. I'm blown away to be honest to say he's only had the camera a few weeks, he's sent me a lot more. Just shows what you can get for a few hundred quid, we'll worth the money IMO.
  6. It didn't do anything for me truth be told, even made me grimace. I hope a Croc never gets me by the snout. ?
  7. I said modern science. By the way, so has religion.
  8. I came across this video the other day, I've been in awe watching predators hunting since I was a little one and must say I've never seen anything as brutal as this.
  9. You have to go way back before modern science to see it's great influence.
  10. On the other hand if it wasn't for the likes of religion and such we may be still hunting and gathering. ?
  11. He was very intelligent but obviously he can't have been clever enough or else he would be typing this and not some human. I honestly believe they were wiped out because of the first mass genocide by mankind, it's not like we are a peaceful bunch is it.
  12. They have, people of the Middle East and Europe have 1-4% Neanderthal DNA in them, Africans don't have any. Melanesians and Aboriginal Australians also have up to 6% Denisovan DNA.
  13. The question is were Neanderthal the same species as us, after all they bred with us and produced fertile offspring.
  14. Or there will be, you just haven't dug deep enough yet. ?
  15. I think it's safe to say there's not one pure blood on this forum, we are all a mish mash truth be told.
  16. How far does that go back though, not as much as I reckon you believe it does.
  17. Good point, the thing is quite close and a fair bit away from cover. You would expect several pictures given that opportunity. Going by that image it looks way too bulky to be a real Leopard, males can have some size on them but that thing is built like a buffalo.
  18. Just bumped in to a stranger with a camera whilst walking the dog. He seemed an odd character but he was nice enough and was taking pics of my dog. I got nattering to him about his camera and what photos he's taken on his travels. He has just bought a used Canon eos 7d and sigma 200 lens for a couple of hundred quid, to say he's only just started his shots were amazing. He got my number and is going to send me some photos of my dog and some of his bird shots, I'll post them on here. Just shows Greyman what you could get for next to nothing, would blow an iPad out of the water
  19. That good? So it tells you how daft your ancestor was. ?
  20. Does it narrow down to specific villages? On Born Hunters profile it only went as far regions.
  21. I've got a good Cube push iron for sale if anyone is interested, payed £1500 for it about 5 year ago and only been on it a handful of times.
  22. Yes I agree that but I thinks it's safe to dismiss those that shout the loudest with nothing to back it up. That's not aimed at Greyman in particular but all those that claim numerous sightings with not a shred of evidence. I like to think I have an open mind but a story off a stranger just won't do for me, I want to see some evidence.
  23. The point is not about you though, it's about folk claiming to others that they have regular sightings of a specific cat. Some are actively trying to convince others of their sightings.
