Bangersanmash replied to Ethan gunn's topic in Ferrets & Ferreting

She's a good bitch at lifting stuff up in cover an marking up to say she's a show pony loves it.

Just carry a skooling crop the f****r will soon stay at your side with a couple of swift cracks . It won't take its eyes off ya an will be at heel all the time. My stafford bitch was head strong always jolting when unexpected arm out of socket job lol. Got to point where a thought f**k this bit of Hazel like a skooling crop by end of walk she was at heel. Many are soft with there dogs nowadays Danny. A do believe harnesses can do more harm than good. Some dogs start displaying inner leg problems where harnesses pulls end up with bent legs. But now they've got all different harnesses some that

Who's living here then my stafford bitch was infront on the walk about 15 mins ago an lost sight of her. When a came across her she was showing interest to this lads lucky she didn't venture in eh.

First thing Danny mate just woke up. Asked to see some upto date pics of your pup an I've already replied too it her in washing basket sorry mate
-
A know it's an old post but there stunning pups any upto date pictures Danny. You look shattered on this picture too mate them early mornings cleaning them up lol. I'm not looking forward to that one bit.
-
That's a smart looking pup mate don't think you can beat the parson specially the smooth coated. Don't get me wrong a like the rough coat stuff when stripped out an just leave the face. But it's the smooth for me. It's nice to kennel a looker an to be able to hold there own. Atb tho with the pup

Look bag on them mate pleased for you. Just be careful with having them so near to the door with the draft that's if you use that door to the left of picture. Some birds you only have to sneeze an they'll be toes up in the morning. Other than that there nice cages done well to drop on them this time of season.
-
You should get some decent mules with the Irish. Was gutted mate when a seen her there in birdroom at the bottom of the cage. Fingers crossed a get another like her this season as ive paired the same pair up I bred her from last season so fingers crosses. Atb tho mate for season

I never said to him a want a days sport mate. He said his lurcher would work cover better than my Russell. This bitch her is great in cover an a great tracker too. Was only a few weeks back I was mentioning her track a roe through local golf course.. A thought to myself there's no way she'll keep on this. But she proved me wrong tracked it all the way through one part of the wood.. Which the roe came into the open an through to the other side of the golf course an up toward the motorway bank which a called her off. But you could see the roes prints on the green an rough. Didn't think a Russell

plummer wanted more from the breed than just a ratting dog. You can't believe the man was a teacher not your typical pit man that loved the sport after a days graft down under the sod back out digging lol. Just been reading up an it was the beagle that made the breed up aswel as the fell an Russell. Nice looking dogs but many now have size about them. Do you think some have been out bred from the original plummer ?
-
You can still see the Russell in them back in 70s an 80s they were alot smaller with having the fell in them. A think some nowadays have abit of every thing. I'm sure down the lines they've hound in them ?

Thing is on this forum if you don't put pictures up your dog doesn't graft to some people. It's okay putting quarry that's legal on here. But when it comes to other things that are not you just don't go there to be fair. A know men that live an sleep for the game family members but would never ever put anything that could get them a knock on the door my the law. So does that make them not decent grafters. The dogs do graft but all legal..
-
Lovely mate a like the rough coated don't show him on here he's got no marks on its face it can't be a worker with no marks ffs lol
-
There not a bad dog aren't the plummers a chap near me has two. A couldn't be in your presence to be fair an that's the truth. Your a cocky c**t over the net. Thinking you know every thing about other men's dogs but really no shit. Just because a didn't put my dog on back of a big old dopey roe get a grip your getting boring now
-
A traveled Same distance to line my bitch yes. But I'm not travlling to see a rubbing rag. You've got a laughing face maybe you'll get another like ffs. I've never seen you put one post up on this forum in last 4 months.
-
Cards are on the table your not putting owt illegal up a dog hitting cover. Come see a dog in cover over miles in juice to watch a rubbing rag no thanks. Get it up your the man saying you've got a lurcher well show us all. You'll get more likes ffs
-
Get a clip up of your lurcher hitting hard cover then put your cards on table ?

There both bred for different styles of work with the gun. Alot now are trying to cut corners an use one dog for one style of hunting. Like lads have tried crabbing that lakelands are just ment for ground work which is a load of bollocks. I know spaniels are great at alot of jobs. I had one of the best bred cockers about at the time 15 years ago. A let her go to a chap on here from up north east the bitch was called ruby. Last time I know he put her in pup few lads on here bought the pups. One went to bigliks who was on here. Which the pup was looking promising.

Come on ffs the pointer points the game so the handler can see. The handler has the spaniel at foot. After shooting the game the handler sends the spaniel on its way to retrieve the game back to hand are you being serious mate
-
A don't know how to take today I've got some good numbers starting to nest up my feeders . But a mistake by myself on putting one of my hens from last season in with two others. Normally it would of worked 99% of the time , but this cock bird is one nasty b*****d when coming to breeding.. He's on the hens Straight away hot headed an can scare some off which looks to of happened here. She was a stunning bird too a satenette cinnamon red eye. A cross with an Irish hen to a timbrado cock. But on the upside I've some number nesting some with eggs an some just built.

It's crazy how game they are this bitch of mine was swing off this young lads pits neck. It could of gone wrong for her. But at the time she just seen red when it sniffed her back end lol. My lurcher ran off soft c**t. Lad a now an he even said it's dog fault for comin upto her. You don't see many lads working the parson no more same as the beddy a good working beddy..

When training a spaniel if it doesn't listen to your commands its no good. Staying at the heel is the first command then sending it off back then back to heel you dont want it going out of sight. If it's breed right it will pick it up no bother. Eye contact is the main rule in them kind of dogs spaniels especially. My bitch would sit side by side of me on sofa nose touching my chin an stay there till a told her to f**k off. A didn't say they can't work cover if there's decent size opening in thick cover they will. But spaniels wasn't bred for that bring it up.
