Well, I've just come back from a whirlwind trip to south west France. A friend has a property down there and we left early saturday to take some furniture with a return on Tuesday. The 38 hour/1600 mile round trip was made more interesting by the ammount of wildlife I saw on the way. The bird of prey numbers were amazing, I saw literally hundreds of buzzards and kestrels. I also saw dozens of roe along the roadside verges and fields and my first wild coypu. I also ran over a snake near Bordeaux, I can't identify the species but it was around 6ft in length and steel grey, I caught the back
