  1. Work on his recall in the garden, perfect it there before moving to a lrger secure area and don't let him off the lead during walks until it is 100%, if you let him off before this it will just rienforce the lack of recall.
  2. i think it would flush well mate i think that side of it would work, its the lurcher work side of it i ain't sure of. Probably not foxes but I'm sure it would lamp and ferret.
  3. I presume you mean at your "other" home, I know we have a lot of exotics here but c'mon
  4. Anderson has good power, very accurate and a good ground game but I think(JMHO) he would loose on his feet to the likes of Liddell, Wanderlei, Rampage, Jardine and Griffin......I guess we will soon find out
  5. Personally I think the cross would do the job your looking at if the parents worked....but who breeds first cross labrador/greyhounds?
  6. Mark, be honest you LOVE all the attention don't you?
  7. I dunno mate, Irwin is no Griffin, Liddel or Wanderlei............
  8. Did you breed him Royston? How old is he?
  9. Why not look into raw foods mate, forget the biscuit and switch to carcases, veg and fruit?
  10. Not having a dig at Hancock, your dead right, you know its breeding, you know that its also unlikely to have seen any form of work. Free ads, I'd never buy a dog from free ads either. You have to do your research and get out there and look at the litters, the parents and the people selling them.
  11. Yep, I agree that even with proven parents you aren't assured of getting a corker so why reduce the odds even further by getting a pup off parents who have done little more than warm the straw in a kennel?
  12. Goanna?Tastes like shit.............To Quote Crocodile Dundee Eaten monitor before,I suppose it tastes the same?Is that a perenti?I think they grow up to 6ft? Not a Perenti mackem, could ba a Lace monitor? Thanks for posting Rich, great view from the garden
  13. No bad dogs only bad owners is a load of bull, if its not in there you can't put it in. If you wanted a dog for herding sheep, digging to, coursing with, a gundog, a guard dog etc etc would you go to Crufts and pick the dog that conforms to the breed standard, or pick the one down the street because its closest and hes soooo cute, or have a look in the free ads or look for a proven worker? Buy from untested stock and you may get lucky but dogs need to be fed, trained and looked after for up to 15 years so why increase your odds of getting a duff one?????????????

  20. Surely the questions you need to ask yourself are 1) Is the bitch worthy of breeding from? 2) What do I want the pups to do as this will have an effect on what stud you use 3) Do I really need to breed a litter?
