I'm sure if we could rescue the westie from the clutches of the K.C and millions of OAP's and start using it for what it was originally bred for they would be useful wee dogs I'm sure it would take someone a lifetime of time, effort and money with little gain.........

Good advice there. You could also try and desensitise the dog with cd's in the car when traveling for exercise (a pleasurable experience). Failing that there are plenty of herbal calming aids on the market.......

Those pups look belters and it sounds a usefull mix. I sincerely hope you get good homes for them. As others have mentioned I'm surprised they havne't been snapped up, the only reason I can think is that we are all feeling the purse strings tighten the way bills have been rising lately. Simon -

By his death at the ripe old age of 25 he had accounted for 35 mice, 3 rats and a disabled squirrel. All single handed apart from the rats, the squirrel and 34 of the mice.......... He sadly passed after going to ground after a hormone laden shrew during the breeding season, I couldn't dig him out before the shrew could inflict a terrible mauling........The only consolation is he sired 89 litters and made me some serious coin... RIP Rambo....

Yes but thats probably 1 in a million, and many dogs will kill rats and mice its earthwork that tests their character of the dog..........

Rare, never seen before footage of Simoman at an earth trial on the continent Thanks Stabs, that was a great day, remember the trip over to Germany with Rambo the westie and that old show winning Scottie of yours....Angus was it? I remember we had to give the dogs torches and a miners hat because they were scared of the dark................Happy days, I added the westie blood into Wilfs linebred yorkies.....real animals, would kill a rat in no time.......well if they had ever caught one.

Well when I used to be "into" keeping fit I was 11stone, I'm 6"1" ft tall. Now I'm around 16/17stone (don't know exactly as the scales groan under the pressure). The way I look at it I'm devilishly handsome, have a great personality and don't need to stay in shape ............although I'll argue I am in shape......rounds a shape.
