I agree, I work long hours and without my partner walking/feeding and cleaning the kennels I'd have to cut down on the time I get with my dogs and also how many I have. Dread/Dan and a few others are on the tweak anyway

i dissagree on the women statement simoman no woman can do what we do,sorry you maybe saying this to get your leg over,but no way can a women control a 100lbs dog and get it of its quarry as quick as a man if you have a on top,and who the f-ck wants to be banged up with a women if it comes on top,get real fella Dread, my comment was not about handling a dog with quarry, it was refering to my partners commitment and dedication to actually working dogs, there are many good dog lads on here who have been out lamping with me and lurcher lass and know she is as passionate about hunting a

Folks may hunt in summer as the farmer demands it to keep permission, not always pleasant and I couldn't hunt on most of my permission as the cover is too high, as for the jibes about women hunters, I love lamping with my other half, she has her own dogs and I dare say she is more commited and in tune with hunting than 95% of the hunting lifes keyboard hunters and experts..........

I saw a couple of this "strain" ferreting in the 90's and they were excellent at it, but useless at any other quarry............

Far too many to list them all as I do like me grub and live with a fantastic cook.................... Tacos Fish and chips at the seaside Roast Venison with mash and veg Chicken Bhuna with rice and garlic naan Crispy duck and hoisin sauce Homemade stew with crusty bread Stilton and bacon salad Bangers and mash Haggis with neeps and tatties As you may grasp Im a tad hungry...............

There is no easy answer, the best you can do is try and find a reasonable comprimise, luckily enough I get on fine with my ex and she has my two daughters, it still never gets easier, you can adjust and start a new life away from your ex and be happy but the void being apart from your kids 24/7 never gets easier...........

you can run a dog as young as you want to mate, the younger you learn them the more chance is they wont forget what they doing if they go to a home where they dont get worked so much, What a crock, its scary what gets typed on here sometimes

Sounds liek your pup has settled in well, although I dont agree with the dog is what you make it line, its a proven fact that the socialisation period is vital in the development of a dog, if a pup isn't socialised properly it will never attain its full potential no matter what you put into it. Sounds like you have a good pup but the nature of breeding litter after litter for financial gain makes me puke and most litters never receive the socialisation and care that pups should.........
