  1. Christ........this is hard to admit.......but..........I agree :11:
  2. Got three bull bred lurchers, all recall instantly and dont hunt up
  3. My first bit of advice is dont let him off the lead at the moment, the problem is the recall plain and simple, you dont have one, drive etc is irrelavent, if he doesn't come back when whistled/asked then no recall. I used to deal with difficult dogs with no/poor recall and had a method that worked well, too long winded here but involves a secure area such as a tennis court, well fenced paddock etc, pm me if you like........
  4. At 400 notes mate its worth it imo....
  5. If only you had fella wrong member you are thiking off.......Think an apology is due..
  6. Martin, ive had a few 4x4s and i always cringe when i see folk say ask for one thats not bad on fuel, compared to a normal estate ALL are fecking horrible on fuel. Now i am in your situation and will soon be exchanging my Navara for something with 7 seats to fit 4 kids and us in. I will be looking as a disco (not all that reliable but cheap to buy and not great on fuel) or preferably a shogun (poor mpg but more reliable than a disco imo)............. P.S. Maveriks are truely awful motors
  7. There is some good debate in this thread and also a load of bollocks as the folk who can't debate turn it into a slanging match, well heres my ten peneth worth, anymore and the topic goes and warnings are issued, no moaning after the fact about warnings as i'll be wearing my burkha and earplugs.............
  8. If it was a litter planned from working parents it seems a shame BUT as least this chap is honest about his plans and isn't pretending to graft it like so many here :11:
  9. Yorkshire without doubt has the highest population of dog lads, and Barnsley is amazing, litterally a bull cross on every street, never seen anything like it...............
  10. Its a game of opinions matey and be boring if we all had the same one I would still disagree, i would expect my dog to find quarry itself if out mooching, the only time i think another type of dogwork would be beneficial is a terrier/bushing dog for pushing bunnies out of cover a bigger dog would struggle with.......
  11. Is this is a wind up? No snake skins won't deter rats, try harsh words.........
  12. First of all to the members who say bigfellas pups are expensive, read what stig replied, that is it in a nutshell. skylab, to be honest you have wasted a mating, you have allowed a useless sire to father the pups and after the fact ask if they bwill make good working dogs, stable door, bolted and horse springs to mind, unfortunately breedings like yours are the reason so many lurchers end up in the shitter or rescue kennels, because too little thought was put into the breeding, "the sire hasn't been worked but would attack vermin if allowed", what a complete load of bollocks, the dog has see
