Sounds to me like you want to do everything, why don't you get yourself some books & have a good read about hunting,shooting,fishing & anything else to do with the sport. As far as getting land, you have no chance if you don't even know what you are talking about, what will you say if the landowner asks you what type of firearm you will be using ? This is why land owners get pissed off when people turn up with no idea. As some one has said before why don't you go out with someone who is local to you & get yourself some experience Â

I was having a bit of a debate in the local village today with some Tosser, well what happened is that i was in the tractor & as a car came towards me i realised he wasn't going to stop, so i ended up having to put the tractor in the hedge. As he pulled at the side of me i called him a few choice names, " you feckin C t, what the feck are you playing at you feckin idiot. With that his reply was, " do you know i could have you arrested under section 5, verbal assault ", so i replied " do you know i could drive this tractor over the top of your feckin car you tosser ". This one has a lot of meaning to me, I lost & a great friend who was my cousin at a very young age to cancer & this was the song he had played at his funeral

I personal don't shoot if i have had a drink, but during shoot season most of the guns i know usually have a glass of port or tot of whiskey at lunch, i think in all circumstances common sense should tell you that the two don't go together. As far as the law is concerned i wouldn't know but i am sure if you was found to be in possession of a firearm will drunk you would find it hard to get off lightly.
