  1. I do keep trying to stop shopping at Tescos and I really have no excuse as although the local butchers that we had have mostly all closed we have a farm shop up the road and they do pretty much everything we could want for a weekly shop with a butchers attached bar one or two things that could easily be got elsewhere. I really must make more effort. Well done for sticking at it for 6 months.
  2. You could try this form Greyhound Data and see if they come up with anything. Sorry, scrap that! It won't work unless you have the name. There is a list of kennels though, could try contacting the trainer if they still train. Or you could try a race search, they have details back to the 60's on GD so far as their search goes.
  3. One of my boys. 18months grey came straight from the track as he wasn't interested in racing.
  4. 23 & 24 February 2008 Westonbirt Doggy Day - Westonbirt, National Arboretum, Tetbury, Gloucestershire GL8 8QS. Over 4,000 people attend this exciting weekend of arena displays, a doggy trail, exhibitors and traders. Why not bring your dog along and enter him/her into the regional heat of SCRUFFT’s - you could find yourself at the national final in London in the summer! Admission prices. Adults £6, Conc £5, Child £2. Probably not the sort of thing a lot of you on here would like to go to but I thought i'd find out if anyone else is going. I'll be there on the sunday, should be
  5. Could you not go in at a low level and do a degree either through the company or through OU? It would get you into the world and gain you some experience whilst also getting the higher qualifications.
  6. We had successful triplets that all stayed with thier mothers but we usually topped them up with bottled milk. We could afford to do that though as we only had about 15-20 ewes so they weren't as time consuming as having a whole herd.
  7. Well done Woz, good luck with her. Can you not contact the kennels she came from to see if they have her details? Maybe she's not been registered, one of mine never was even though he is tattooed.
  8. Shes lovely! I am sure she has the best personality. They always do! You can see it in her face. A very happy dog Thanks. She is lovely but at 8 she can't do as much as she'd like anymore. She's had the odd rabbit but I never really did anything serious with her. She's just enjoying her retirement.

    what car

My uncle has an old toyota estate, they can be picked up quite cheaply and tend not to be quite as 'used' as the escorts. Not quite sure what they are like on insurance though.
  10. We had one that had triplets one year but the last was stillborn and although it came out in one piece its skull was so soft that my mum's friend put his thumb through it. Even now I don't live at the farm anymore, I still seem to get the orphans since my dad has a habit of killing them off.
  11. That time of year again. I have many fond memories of having lambs in washing baskets in front of the rayburn that were reared on the bottle.
  12. Would anyone want those teeth anywhere near them though?!
  13. She'd bloody have to wouldn't she.
  14. Well she is a stunner, lucky man!
  15. Possibly not the best thing to be admitting in public...
  16. Pure as fresh snow no doubt...!
  17. Lovely photos. Our local bird of prey centre was mydaughters favourite place to go for an afternoon but its closed apparently. I always liked going over there as they were always very hands on, liked to involve the visitors in displays etc which my little girl loved.
  18. I've never seen one in person but didn't they test drive some of these on Topgear?
  19. Arnica is a good homeopathic remedy for bruising. There are probably other remedies suitable, try somewhere like Holland And Barrett and someone should be able to advise you.

    new arrivals

Bless her. Hope mum and babies are doing well. I like cats, I just have a greyhound that doesn't.
  21. I quite like *some* older men.
  22. I was 17 and it was someone I worked with who was a fair bit older than me. That as far as i'm going with that one.
