  1. what bedding are you using? straw/hay can carry all sorts of beasties i use shredded paper as bedding to reduce the risk a bit it can also be disposed of easily in the bin or burnt i was also told years ago that if you grow marigolds and put them in your bird shed you wont get any mites attacking your birds as they hate them just wondering if you put up hanging baskets or potted ones near your hutches if it would keep bugs away anyone else heard of this?
  2. maybe shes had a season already and this is her second one and not so fertile so been missed?i had a jill sort of like that this year phantom the first time, didnt take till the second season and had 10 kits of which one went missing/lost/eaten?maybe shes too old to have kits do you know exactly how old she is?
  3. i tried it yesterday im now the proud owner of 3 jars of bramble toffee god knows what went wrong
  4. we used to dig them up when we were kids and called them ground nuts as well
  5. ferretting. once its seen rabbits during the day it will know what to look for on the lamp
  6. should be ok you will get away with a smaller bed area as they dont take up much room once curled up

  8. cant keep my two daughters in especially the youngest one whos 7 last night she had me turning the shed upside down as we were on a spider hunt she had much delight in running in the house to show her mum lol i think that ones going to be a zoo keeper when ever i thaw out food for the ferrets the first thing she asks is can i see its guts neither of them are bothered with blood etc when cleaning game and like to know where it came from and what there eating they even tried alligator on holiday and said it tasted just like chicken

    feed to the ferrets then make a pair of breeks out of the skins

  14. is the mother loosing it as well?maybe the heat?lice in the bedding area is it straw/hay?
  15. not much eating in a crow once you take into account the wing and tail feathers i would say more like a crow each would be better

  17. got it throu the first night soaked some ferret food which is 36% protein and mixed it with scrambled egg it seems to be liking it along with the squashed maggots heres hoping
  18. its fully feathered its tails stubby so not long jumped nest by the look of it its started grabbing from the tweezers so fingers crossed im feeding it every 2 hours due to working
  19. whats the best thing to feed a young chaffinch on? had a young lass appear at the door with one yesterday been giving it squashed maggots up till now but having to force feed it slightly how do i eventually get it on seed?
