Trust me mick . They were run to death on them bits all summer never mind winter . Big block of land . You need 500 yards in front of an yard slip to bend em . Run like rabbits to burrows. Agree to an extent . You obviously did a bit wi dogs before shitting the bed . But I seen a clip few year back of scottys dog on a bit of land in central Scotland. Hardly a hare on it . Big land . But it's simply a case of any hare there knows to hit the farm yards . And a dog running fens regularly would have steadied up a bit and most likely get straight lined as they are too bolty . Now imagine i was to run mick with my ratting dogs . I'd be looking to run the biggest land 8 hares a week before heading into his back yard . The famous saying is " horses for courses?

Fireman tom contacted me 12 year back . He'd just put romeo to belle . Said he'd took all the so called studs . Including bully . And they all struggled to dent them as it had been proper wet for weeks . Took romeo on the same land and he had them stopped up and bullying them 5 minutes in both times . They got away into same wood both times . Had he a great mouth he'd have took some beating.
