    There a fine line between working a dog on the edge and pushing it just over, Somthing that can go out 4 nights a week and run fine without running stale , But too be honest never mind the dog too a degree here think of the man holding the lead that keep its fitness up just that little extra and feeds it that little better and goes that extra mile too me that a PROPER man

    Seen it if my own eyes Simo, Seen plenty work i think too to myself that dogs takeing unnessersary stick here, And see the one that were clever (The ones people tend too think were less game cause they wouldnt take stuiped holds and always move for a better hold/finish) that could easyly do 2/3 a night 3 days a week, week in week out cause they never took much stick, BUT like i say when work regular and hit a good un they'll get tagged like the others, Me i like seeing a clever dog work something sensieble that can be work regular and not laid off half the season but everyones diffren

    If i gave up the game then id give what iv got too decent working homes were they would be worked and looked after, If i wasnt out i wouldnt keep any of lurchers for just pets when there used too so much more wouldnt be fair on them IMHO..

    Well if 1 being at the very bottom no recall stockbroke ect and 10 being like having a robot, Id say say im a 4/5, people require diffrent levels to tailer what they do iam happy with the basics for what i do aslong as mine have 100% recall, jump, retrevie and (stay to a point) iam happy

    When all said and done, If you were on the market for a pup and you had 2 litters too pick from 1 One that the breeder could trace back say 4 gen both side worker x worker all the way and decent and execelled at takeing quarry season after season night in night out day in day out, Or one that had an been bred by someone that had an ex-racer and walked past the farm collie (Just for instance) when the bitch was on heat, Too get a litter, What one would you honestly pick (And iam just useig that as an example)

    Only seen a few work, My mate has one of them first x heartbreak bred dogs must be 10/11 now, Bout 22''/23'' decent enough little dog for ferreting/lamping/moochen/ took r,h,f,d all singlehanded but never had top end really for hares and deer in open land if you wanted them regular but he is one for the pot type so didnt really mind Rabbits were his bread and butter and he was a decent little rabbit dog day/night, Fox he woul kill with pleasure see him kill many over plenty of seasons even at 10 he was still retreving them, The above dog was mated too his Fell/Whip, And the pup he kept

    Id say 4/5yr old min, Cause most will run keen for a few seasons but when they have 4/5 seasons under there belt and still going great guns then think it proves that they have the heart for the game buts thats JMO, And on pure Gh in the feild well the land i hunt they tend to be found wanting in the wind department but then again that JMO and the land i hunt

    Me personaly its the lightforce striker with a 12v 18amp battery and a red filter great alround lamps (Note tho the wireing on them are shit and i mean shit once rewired yourself or at the very least put and knot and a cable tie in the handle to take the strain instead of the connections )

    When i go on proper nights out its the later the better, But must times throw the week and iam poping just local no more than say 10min drive at the most ill go out as soon as its dark enough too have a few runs and a bit of ferret/dog food, And back in before midnight for work And ya i think it make a diffrence the later the better,

    I chin them in the net, Then leave them in the net while a put a spare net back over the hole and then stand back takeing the rabbit out and folding the net back in my pocket ready for another bolt (Hopefully)
