  1. I’ve pics of the scruffy twat in that jumper & camouflage trousers, I had arranged for months for him to judge that show for him to say he couldn’t make it on the morning of the show, my mate had to drive down and pic him up then take him home!! In a Toyota Land Cruiser it cost a fortune.did you enjoy show?.
  2. Yes that’s right bitch in pic is sweet temptation.
  3. Dog in pic is frisky lady’s mother but I cannot remember her KC name.
  4. I can’t honestly remember, she was out of Rillington raven & ippoliyt (not sure on spelling) Bonny blue.shes the grandmother to tyke.
  5. Picture of my, not mi mates or one I’ve seen work or read about on here she was my KC Bedlington bitch born around 1986,she killed that fox in the large gorse patch behind, her coat wasn’t perfect and at 16 inch too big for most earths but what Bedlingtons of her breeding didn’t lack was instinct to hunt and kill foxes, she would have been ideal to breed beddie x whippets.ive also owned a 1/16 border Bedlington who was big and strong ideal for crossing with a greyhound, he could also get to ground in some earths even though he was between 17-18 inch tts, with him only being 1/16 I would have used
  6. Who in there right mind would take you up on such a stupid offer and all this teeth talk!! Have you heard yourself.
  7. Just because you’ve never heard of a KC beddie doing earth work doesn’t mean there isn’t any, the majority of working dog men don’t come on here this forum is not the centre of the universe when it comes to working dogs.Bedlingtons did need an outcoss that is true but but it wasn’t because they had no fire in there belly’s . I’ve owned (not seen or mi mates) Beddlingtons 2 pure & 1 outcross ,they were all good dogs but my first KC bitch was the best worker.if I was to buy another beddie I would probably go for an outcross these days but I don’t think a 14-15 inch beddie that can easily get
  8. Do you think bedlingtons were crossed with Lakeland’s etc to make them harder dogs? Well that’s not why George Newcombe outcrossed, it was simply because he couldn’t find pure bedlingtons that worked like his and he needed new blood.
  9. No I didn’t moocher71, I’ve spoke to terry 20 years ago who’s nothing like Rambos owner, I’ve friends who have seen terrys bedlingtons & beflington lurchers work and were impressed with them.what folks are are forgetting about your dogs breeding is the whippet or greyhound blood which also contributes to how the pup turns out, good luck with him.
  10. The reason why Rambo had such a good name was because most believed what it’s owner said about it, no different than today,I once spoke to Rambos owner who told me and my friend that Rambo had ran out of its yard an ran straight into a large dog and broke its back!! We both burst out laughing at him.
  11. I think your right he would have enjoyed it more with permission but he obviously couldn’t get any, if I hadn’t been lucky enough to get some permission I would still have gone on land without permission but I’ve not the balls to go digging without permission lol.
  12. I don’t thing singles was saying it’s something special he was just being honest which I admire, the man in question has probably tried for permission when he was younger and maybe got sick of going cap in hand to keepers & land owners, because let’s be honest some who have plenty of permission haven’t got it through ability it’s through handing money & gifts over & beating for nothing etc.i think it does take a special man to do 40 years watching over his shoulder I know I couldn’t do it because like singles said I also had a very physical job we’re I needed rest not up all weeken

This what you want,it’s also good for bleeding ears and shaving cuts lol it’s under a tenner on eBay,every dog first aid kit should have some.
  14. Read my post again especially the first two lines I said what you are saying but without being so aggressive,I didn’t say the men that push to the front are better just that they are noticed more because they are more vocal abit like you in that last post.
  15. Nice post marshman, your dad was probably as good as men who have or had a well known name in the terrier world but he probably wasn’t as vocal, it’s like most things in life if you don’t push to the front you won’t be seen or heard, over the years I’ve met a few big names in the dog world and with out exception they all could talk which I like and I think what sets the big names aside from the unknown men is dedication to breeding a line or type, because I for one love working my dogs but work, family & other hobbies restrict normal men like me and most others.
  16. I used to go to a farm in the vale of York we’re I shot a rabbit with no ears but the ear stumps were bloody still, I showed the farmer who told me he had just cut the grass for hay and sometimes over the years he cut ears of rabbits doing this, latter that year I got another lamping with the dog which had no ears but the stumps were a bit scabby but fur was starting to grow over the stumps.
  17. Some of the things you want from your dog are more down to you than breed to some extent, like doing a runner when put out to relieve it’s self, most hunting dogs if not trained will do what they like when they like, terriers can be noisy for example barking at everyone who passes your boat but if checked you can stop this, terriers like go to ground but if discouraged from an early age it’s not a problem.regards what type of dog a lot depends on which working style suits you,I’ve had Bedlington terriers which were good workers quiet around the home and don’t loose hair but and it’s a big but th
  18. I’ve heard him described as 10% John, only believe 10% of what he tells you but it was said in good taste with respect as he is the real deal, well he is a Yorkshire man.
  19. They don’t have to be well known and you don’t have to name them , you could just give reasons why a certain person has been so influential to you.
  20. So every terrier man? That sounds like a politicians answer.
  21. Well done chevinfox it looks like there’s only you so far who holds another terrier man in higher regard than themselves.
  22. I’ve noticed that whoever’s name in the terrier world is mentioned on here it’s not long until folks start slagging them ,be it they have done no work, the dogs they have are stolen there books are are shite etc,so who is up there who do you rate? Ps you can’t nominate yourself.
