It would take a super dog and a hell of a lot of help. One stag that we did had 2 dogs on it, it was rutting the Jeep when we pressed it up against the edge. I've seen a stag that was run around the field straight line a kids big Deerhound crosses, it cleared a dyke and left the dogs for dead. 2 dogs and a jeep on it did you catch it? Obviously but the dogs didn't pull it on themselves.

Has anybody got any pics of their single handed Red Deer dogs? Must be some animal cos I've seen big strong Bull crosses look like a Jack Russell running at the side of one down near Peterborough.

Let's just say I've seen some big strong dogs in my time and I know men who was out deer hunting all the time and I mean doing serious numbers. For starters I doubt anyone would slip one dog on a stag and the hinds take serious dogs to pull them over.

Good on them, if they want to wear it at home so their husbands can't see their face then fair enough but no way in hell should it be legal on our streets.

I'm getting one no doubt about that, just don't fancy buying in a dog when in the process of doing it all. I like the look of your Saluki/Greyhound, hopefully in the future you'll be breeding him again.

back in the day what lurchers were capable of pulling the big reds.?The ones you read in stories....you don't think it's possible? Anything is possible, I've seen multiple dogs on a big stag and they struggled. Pulling and holding a Red stag down is different gravy imo.

There's lots of people that would steal another man's dogs and not feel the slightest bit of guilt. My mate had his Bull cross stolen that was 13 year old. The pikeys went in his garden when it was dark, my pal heard them and ran out with a baseball bat but it was too late. Poor dog would have been dumped or knocked on the head once they realised how old it was.
