  1. Staghounds , strain of sight hound for hunting coyotes.
  2. Looking good dan, Happy I have allot of the same stuff at my place. Bird- I doubt a coyote would try it, they like to pick and peck till you chase them into the corn or timber then its like "OOH FECK" but a yote wont and doesn't want to take damage that a pit will give it in its yard. But if he can get ya alone look out. Many yotes out here especially the ones not pressured screw with cow dogs and stuff. Its always funny when they stop and turn on the stags , for us not them.
  3. If you tame one down, they love peanut butter.
  4. No its a hairy yellow is the pup not in picture.
  5. East was hunting bear with a collie dog and he did the deed.If I had a camera that day it would have been somthing. West, it was my 1st day and the day we went horse back with the same collie dog.
  6. Like you said you dont have bobs there. This guy has trapped over a 100. He doesn't need luck
  7. Euro badger eat steady flesh? Thats all they eat here. from pics not hands on , it seems to be the opposite.
  8. Nice pup! good bone and put together.
  9. This Badger was a dink and had very nice fur on him. we skinned him out and he'll bring maybe 40.00 dollars. Comparing the badgers here and there i have no experience but i have a friend who I value his opinions that has dug here and in Europe . Hands down he has told me many times the badgers here are a tougher customer and way more aggressive. This guy was maybe 15 lbs I've seen them as big as 40lbs. and no its no easy feat for two 80lb. Staghounds to dispatch one over 25lbs if at all.Common sense will tell you that the America's badger is not at the top of the food chain here. We have Wolf
  10. In the States. Nice lilttle hunt today, have a stag that got his switch flipped on and figured out what he's for ha! Plus it wasnt bad hunting below the mighty Rockies. Relax this is legal here
  11. I don't trap but a cowboy buddy of mine runs a line of snares for coyotes and so I went out with him and we made a few sets for bobcats as they are bringing up to $ 600.00. [u.S.] If we catch one I'll post a pic. Here is one of the sets. They like to get on rock ledges and put themselves between dens for black tailed jackrabbits and wait for them to come back.
  12. I use to live in Orange co. NY.,
  13. FTB-Its a no brainer to do some research on here and go see stock that's doing what you would want a dog to. I know its convenient to go get a gallon of milk at the store instead of milking the cow, but put the work in and you made the right first step.
  14. I've had the old stuff and had'nt seen any new blood shipped over here in a while. We have hunted them on rats to bears and they did all right.but dont kid yourself not every one was a rock star either, but we here had some good ones.
  15. Its funny I must be the only guy with dogs that are sucking the hind teat lol. Some are doing well and like I said some are going to get fired but in general nothing to write home about. Edwards and I bred this one and he belongs to a mutual friend . I have his brother and he isnt this far along yet.
  16. I thought you were going to say when you joined this forum
  17. Tube feed with a product like : http://www.petco.com/product/106997/PetAg-Esbilac-Powder-Puppy-Milk-Replacer-And-Dog-Food-Supplement.aspx Then watch this video. The only way to speed feed all those pups and not waste your whole day. At 2 1/2 -3 weeks they should be on there own. Good luck
  18. What part of the country are you from?
  19. Coyote , but I'll try them on anything big I have here and see how they do.I have black bear and mountain lion in my back yard.
  20. D-I'm pretty sure there will be a Stitch pup bred to a grace pup in the near future, we should get one or two from the litter that will do the job the right way. I'm a greedy c**t. I want all the pups that would have been out of the litter tween them two. I'd dump em on one of them "BIG coyotes" and put money on em takin him off his feet. By the way, good taste stunt.........couldnt have picked any better myself.
  21. Here are two of 4 pups that are Foxhound stud Staghound dam. I'll try these with the horse.
  22. Bred by a sh-t di-k, raised by Rocks owned by Edwards "Stitch".One of the few true single handed coyote dogs. Females, UpHill's "Grace" she could put it down on anything here in N.America. Stitch- Grace----->
