    First of all in my humble opinion that gun is not safe to use. The cause of the barrel swelling may be down to incorrect load or steel shot or is the gun just worn out.

    The Vauxhall Brava shares most of the running gear, steering and suspension with the Frontera, the 2.5 Isuzu diesel is bullet proof. The 4x4 Brava will go almost anywhere but for really rough going they benifit from raising the ride height a bit.

    That is correct, as you say the scope is quickly brought to a near zero and it's a very easy task after that to fine tune. All pellets and bullets travel in an ark of some degree and true zero can only be achieved at a set distance by point of impact. I don’t think a bore sight is worth the investment for airgun shooting as the pellets are so cheap, but they are well worth buying if you’re on larger bore rifles with single bullets costing a couple of quid each, and of course it makes zeroing a large bore rifle a lot safer job.

    I think what Tyla means by feeders is decoys that look like they're feeding on the ground. Depending on what you are shooting with you need to set up a patern that will entice the birds to drop in within range of your gun. You might have to leave your tent up for a few days so the birds get used to it, pidgeons have excellent eyesight. Good luck and happy shooting.

    Here on the coast we had a bit of a flurry yesterday but all gone by mid day, after that it was just cold, wet, grim and grey, quite like the idea of hibernation now.

    You don't say what part of the country you're in mate but here in Lincolnshire a SGC grant was taking up to 18 weeks. As others have said, get your cabinet fitted out of sight but not up in the loft or out in the garage, most FEO's don't like that. A polite phone call to the Firearms Department can work wonders, but be polite!! Good luck.

    they cant do that, if your brand of pellet your using doesnt exceed the power then your ok, get that off the police what pellet they use and tell them what you use, get a good solictitor on the case it states here make sure you know your gun's power with your pellets http://www.youngmans.com/acatalog/law.html as long as you took the nesserary percautions to know and are with in power with your pellets then they havent got a case tonight at 9pm 4th jan i will be asking police to retest my rifle with my own pellets(powerpell) date check on police crono take my own pellets in

    I'm at a bit of a loss here, how come your gun was spotted during a routine check by the Police. No matter what gun I'm out with it's always locked away in the boot, in a case and a trigger lock fitted. I've only been stopped by the Police two or three times in my driving life and I've not once been asked to open the boot. Bad luck mate.

    Married to the same lady for 33 years, only ever had to resorted to lady palm whilst the good lady was with child. Now! to get back to the start of this thread, my wife is a very keen rat shooter, but that's it. She is happy for me to go off on my many shooting days and never moans about it, and she's always delighted to cook what I bring back. But remember chaps, if your lady want's to go shopping, take her, if she want's to eat out, take her, it's for the good of your shooting and hunting.

    Maybe what you have there is a 'muzzle break' and not a silencer, can you do a picture of it.
