He's one hell of a good shooter.

That's probably about right, my mate has a 410 and he tops up when the pressure drops to 120bar, he does two or three stints of ten minutes pumping and five minutes resting to get back up to 210bar. I have another mate with several PCP's and he has a large bottle, takes him a lot less time to top up his guns

I think your only hope is to place wanted posts on air gun and shooting web sites, I'm sure the Scorpion was discontinued some time ago. Good luck

Can I respectfully sugest that if you are new to air guns to get some target practice in first. To go rabbit shooting you need to be able to so 1" groups at 35yds. I would recomend you find a local target club and get at least 500 pellets through your gun. Happy shooting.

Best to buy local if you can mate, the stuff from China can be a bit nasty.

I'm not really into PCP's (springer man) but a mate of mine has four AA410's, two are sub 12ft/lb and two are on his ticket, he also has two Theoban's so I recon he's a bit of an enthusiast. I have used the 410's on FAC, .177 and .22 and they are beautiful guns and take bunnies with absolute ease at 60yds, they look and feel great and to be honest I was for a time, seriously thinking of getting one, but my rimfire won the day. As far as I know the only problem my mate has had with them is a leaking fill valve, but that's all.

I went to London, once. Never again.

The RSPCA lost my support and respect some twenty years ago, I tried to contact them regarding a cat I'd found that was badly injured, I found the cat on the road at about 7.30pm and despite my best efforts could not do so, I even phoned the Police only to be told that they (the Police) could not make contact with the RSPCA after working hours. To me this is not an animal welfare organisation with the welfare of animals at the fore front, just a business.

I don't think so mate but best to ring your firearms department.

I've got a CZ Varmint, smashing gun, does all I need and at a bargain price too!!

I have done several times in fact Don't you just hate biased media, the facts of this incident are all wrong and the reporter has absolutely no idea. I'm surprised it didn't make head line news on the BBC, it's about their standard of reporting -
The main cause of engine failure is extended oil changes and the wrong grade of oil, if you want your Navara to keep going halve the oil change mileage and use fully synthetic oil and a good quality filter. Be gentle with the loud pedal for the first couple of miles from a cold start and after a hard run let the engine idle for a few moments to cool the turbo down.

Hi Ben, I'm just wondering how you got on zeroing your scope for the first time. If you've had a go and done it right you should notice that the gun is far more accurate.
-
I use red on rats, fox's and bunnys. I do a scan with a hand held white light first just to see what's about, switch of and give it a few moments then switch on the gun lamp with red filter. Works for me.

Damn, I think you are right, I'd forgotten about that

If you sent it recorded you should be able to track it. I've used Royal Mail an awful lot and not had more than a couple of problems, one was just a customer trying it on and the other is still unsolved. Start making some noise mate, it can be a bit like but if you shout loud and long eventually someone will listen. Good luck

It's the old 'Catch 22' mate, I take my dogs for a walk and I see loads of quarry, pop back later with the gun and sod all. I find windy days keeps the blighters underground, rain does'nt seem to bother them. Be prepared to spend more time on your permission than you think necessary, try different times of the day or night, make sure you're 'not on the wind'. Happy hunting.

Hello John, that's a bit of an odd question, if you have two scopes why not try both and see which one you prefer. I have a Webley Tomahawk fitted with a Webley 4 x 40, zeroed at 30yds, love the set up. I also have a Weirhauch 35K fitted with a 3-9 x 50, zeroed at 40yds, love the set up. I have a 3-9 x 50 on my rimfire zeroed at 75yds, love the set up. The only person who can set up the scope and decide which is best is you. Experiment and practice. Happy shooting. PS: Let us all know how you get on and if you need further advice just ask.

Not sure what the law states where you are but here in England it would be OK to use a shotgun after dark, so long as safety is taken into consideration. The neighbours might have an objection ot two though.

Welcome to the site redfrog I know I keep on banging on about this but your best bet is to go to your local clay club. Most members will be happy for you to have a go with their gun, get the feel, get to know about gun fit cos if the gun don't fit, you aint gona hit Good luck and happy shooting.

A mate of mine is really into NV and I've been lucky enough to try his set up He has an 'add on' Cobra Merlin and a digital hand held spotting monocular. Ratting with the 'add on' is fun, spotting with the 'hand held' is good but I just don't like the blacked out eye for up to five minutes after use. For me it's the lamp, I love the challenge and the thrill you get when you pop the lamp on, I also enjoy watching the night sky when the lamp is off, something I can't do after a minute or two witn NV. The lamp gets from me.

Please take a moment and sign this. Please read on this is really important and will only take a few moments. Shooting needs your signature on the petition. Over £18 million approx (at the 2006 bid price) will be spent on building the 2012 Olympic shooting sports venue at Woolwich Barracks and then after the Olympics it will be pulled down again. This is not only a total waste of money and an immoral use of resources but more importantly it does not leave any lasting legacy for shooting sports in this country. Every year the Great Britain shooting teams work hard to bring home medals

Most if not all PCP's are great guns, very easy to shoot and oh! so accurate. Personally I have never taken advice on any gun I've bought, I'd by far rather try for myself. I own and use shotguns, airguns and rimfire's, one of my favourite shotguns cost me £30 and it's put plenty a meal on the table, my favourite ratting gun is a cheap sh!t Chinky special that most people slag off. What I'm saying is go out and try a few, if you buy one and find you can't get on with it, sell it and try another. Oh! by the way, BSA Ultra [/color]
