Saw my first deer on my morning walk this morning, been on the boat almost a month now, walking between 2/5K twice a day, on the outskirts of Bristol I very rarely take the dogs out without one or two deer encounters per walk, the urban ones also seem a lot more stupid or are just used to seeing people, todays deer never broke cover until the last second after being worked almost 200yards along a hedge were as locally I have to put a huge bell on my dog and fire a couple of stones into cover as I’m approaching it or I will catch one most outings ??

Saw several green woodpeckers and a lesser spotted and flushed a deer from a hedge, on my morning walk, collected firewood, emptied rubbish and filled my water tank before jumping in the van for a 30 mile journey to look after the grandkids, life goes on mate only pop back in to see the wingers still winging having not moved since I last looked a week ago, wonder how opinions would be if no one was paying them to hide behind the couch ?? Mate, my mum is in a home, every time I see her I wish I could put a pillow over her face and end it, it’s vile to keep people alive worse than a dog, my daughter works in a school and has looked after kids of frontline workers throughout and I,ve seen her through out my other daughter is a dental nurse front line worker refused her jab this week I,m sat with her now my wife had a collapsed lung as a child and has a very damaged respiratory system, we are all vulnerable just not bleating about it and if socks comes for any of us we will go along without pointing blame ?
