The French have judas ducks that they lovingly look after and clip wings, they attract the wild ones they all get fed and in this case would be put away in an old caravan overnight when it was shooting season people would pay per bird and he would release how ever many they payed for. Probably cost as when you blitz it up it shrinks in volume I have been adding pizza base mix to my ground bait for method feeding it makes it like rubber

My canal is gin clear at the moment as a few mile is closed to boats, I walked it and found around 20 carp all cruising together between 2 locks but I couldn't get them feeding so much weed but wouldn't take a surface bait tha b*****ds. Lol But a floating lob worm.....

The few big 3lb plus perch I have caught all came from live bait using small perch but fat lob worms are a killer bait for all specimen species.

River wye barble meat rig I'll snap my rod or straighten the hook out before this let's go lol that's 25lb fluro 2 .5 foot long hooklink to 30lb lead core about 2.5 foot again

Interesting to see how that goes, I rub braided hooklinks in tungsten putty to help keep them flat, that said I'm using some kevlar braided gear at the moment that sinks well
