@nik b. I suppose it depends on where you're from ,I agree if your from an mining town or any industrial town then yes , but I'm from the garden of England and it was a lot less polluted than it is today! As a whole I think Britain was a far greener place than it is today surely ?

I think the country seemed a lot cleaner and greener without so many cars and roads, so to anybody with an interest in the countryside it going to seem like a beutifull place and it probably was !No doubt life was a lot harder back then compared to today , if you just said the brake throughs in medicines and surgery from then 1920s to today is remarkable ! Life seemed a lot simpler back then, I know its easy for me to say I haven't got children with rickets lol. Oh well at least they didn't have to put up with mad fundamentalist chopping them up on their own streets !

In the 1920s Woolwich was a small town on the outskirts of London , mostly surrounded by orchards and marshland where there was hare rabbit running the fields . I wouldn't like to show any of the inhabitants of the 1920s a film of London today!

Right lads I asked my father hes thoughts on the question , now my father has keep mainly gamefowl all hes life and although different a lot of the same applies. He said he wouldn't breed from anything that was no good it was culled,and yes he has breed from something that was average but of the right blood line and has only ever produced average or useless !
