  1. The whole idea of a forum is so everyone can have their say and interact with others.. Having a closed forum does not work, it strangles a community. Be honest how can people be genuinely vouched for, it only takes ONE bad egg, and do you think its any safer at all? The only thing I weather are rabbit snares, to get them nice and dark, I dip my fox snares also... your mention of tea bags would work as they are high in tanin, boiling the snares as mentioned would remove residue making them hold a die easier... People do go out and snare rabbits and foxes with brand new snares, I have a lot myself, but I want everything in my favour and having a nicely blended in snare helps prevent any refusals from the wiley ones, especially with the extended hours of daylight at present... Moley its a common problem with the 17-55mm canon lens shipped with the 350d, mine done the same awhile back, wouldn't focus in auto, done a google search others were saying take it to dealer and repair, whilst some said give the front manual focus ring a sharp tug and try and operate it, they must just stick now and then for some reason...
  14. I was on a farm yesterday and the farmer was complaining about rabbits, he's lost quite a bit of grass he uses for feed, anyway set about them with some snares and traps.. Taken from one set of scrub area were the warrens were... Set them yesterday and I've had about 70 odd when I checked them yesterday and again today... Also set a couple of fox wires as another Farmer has just let his new batch of hens out...accounted for a dog fox, second day... Heres some of them to liven the section up a bit...
  15. Moley which lens is it thats giving you grief the standard kit lens ? If it is, try pulling the front of the lens, giving it a moderate pull, see if it will auto focus then...

  19. Any photos of the garden, it must have some form of boundry...Or use another bait to entice it where you want and snare it... Or even easier, if your lamping rabbits in tha garden and it has easy access...have a stake out with the gun..
  20. We give some animals far less credit than they deserve, quality footage..
  21. Snare away from the larsen, check fencelines and existing trails the foxes will use either man made or from other animals that are clearly visible...also look around the field for undefined trails with the grass offset slightly, they have created.
