The quote system has been updated...I thought you referred to a glitch. If you prefer the old system you can switch to bbcode mode, hit the button top left of the reply box, and you will see the standard quote tags.
  2. The main key is to wash mud off as soon as your back in home, as it dries it sucks moisture out of the leather like nobody's business, let them dry in a cool environment keep them away from radiators, etc then keep them regularly waxed. Personally the likes of brasher, etc are fine for a summers hill walk, there destroyed in less than a year with anything above average use, I owned a couple of pair years ago, they crack like hell, and are too low on the ankle for out in the field, feet full of mud and water in no time, yes there light, best suited to girls and old men, who like slippers an

  11. In this section I'm going to trial a feature see how it goes. Basically when you ask a question in the forum, and get replies you can mark one down as the best answer for your topic. This doesn't need to be selected but if you want the option is there. When you do this, it will highlight the best answer post on the topic and bring it to the top of your topic in the form of a preview. Basically you can see the first post and cut through the chaff to see the best answer to the members question immediately. Its selectable on each post with the mark solved button, in the bottom right c
  12. thanks for the info ian. its good to get advice from people who know what they are talking about. how do i set the fenn light or fine? all i can see is one notch on the brass trigger catch. Place the safety catch on and set the trigger , set it as light as you want, just push the pan down to adjust, then fit to hole, bed, etc and last thing remove safety. ps I wouldn't be setting traps a foot into a hole, judge by eye, as long as the roof of the hole is over the trap you will be fine, why make more work and hassle.
  13. Why post? I don't have time for the sociable side of forums at the minute, so my posts are minimal.. Most forums I use relating to any subject for whatever reason are to gain knowledge, advice or share information with others of the same interests. I wouldn't post absolute non related stuff every day on here, but everyones different. I come on a hunting forum for one reason, to share and discuss hunting with others.
  14. Place your unset trap in the mouth of the hole, does it fit? No........ make it fit, so it has clearance when fired.., set your trap to the setting you prefer light/medium make sure the trap is stable, just bed it in a bit...cover with fine earth, or sieved if you can be arsed, I use peat and its perfect, make sure theres not a mound on the pan a slight depression is better ,take off the safety catch.. If your setting them in numbers its time consuming to start with never mind mucking about with setting sticks and being anal about things..the more you use them better and quicker you will get..T

  22. John I agree with you and I have total respect for the likes of yourself, I'm sure others feel the same...The reason I didn't remove him? He'd think he was a martyr, I left him to dig his own hole.. on your facebook page, you seem hell bent on getting banned Logun. Is that so that you can go on there and tell everyone what a loss you are to THL? If so, you are a dreamer. I can't remember the last interesting post you put on here; you just pop up, slag off other folks, and then disappear back onto Facebook. As John Keswick says, you should have been gone long ago, but I think t
