  1. Tiercel it was directed at pip, not yourself, as I say it was a ferret not a dog and not an injection in a vein..
  2. That is the first effects of the anaesthetic, it renders the animal unconscious, but the animal is still alive. Depending on the size of the animal death from a heart attack actually occurs from between one and three minutes after the animal is injected. As the animal is unconscious it knows nothing about it. TC after she injected the dog she then listened to the dogs heart and told us it had stopped it was no way 3 mins and and the dog just letting out little breaths of air but was dead and she told us this would happen Read the topic from the start, this was injected in the st
  3. The new Pulsar HD50S has now been released with 2.8x optical lens, an increase over the 2x lens of the HD38S. The HD50S is another £500 on the RRP compared to the HD38S. Identical unit but slightly longer detection range, and the lens difference. Anyone tempted..
  4. This wasn't quick and she was keen to have us out of the way whilst she did it but I stayed.. Takes longer to get round there system in the stomach she said, like I say never seen it done like it before, on any animal... I've had dogs put to sleep and its pretty quick and peaceful when injected in a vein.
  5. Yes its more about £ than common sense it seems, but there is some good vets left, most of the townie type vets just fleece people. I asked about why inject in the gut and she said they do as its easier than finding a vein like a dog, it just takes longer to work through its system, 2-3 mins she said, then she said sometimes it takes a few shots to finish them... As I say never again, I've never taken a small animal to a vets, she kept saying you can leave if you want, but I waited till the end, three minutes, falling on his side, dragging his legs after a jab into the gut, then slowly
  6. Normally if a ferret is ill and fading, I'll do the deed and put it out of its misery. A hob I have has been looking really lethargic and listless, so I tried him on a few things to pick him up, and he did get a little better, over a couple of days, but after getting an ear ache of the other half ended up taking him to the vets to get a look over, they said he wouldn't last, and I could either give him antibiotics, anti inflams and x-ray , although I was told it was pointless, so it was suggested to get him PTS. anyway as I say, I normally sort this myself, but wanted to keep the peace and so
  7. Try oaklodge http://www.oaklodgeshootingground.co.uk/
  8. They need to adjust the way they treat their customers, and think less about the revenue Oh and a list of other things, I'm sure it will bite them or someone.....sooner or later.
  9. Just use the centre or side focal points in manual... More points is a nice to have but not necessary..
  10. Scott country have started retailing the optix, but I think I'd rather shit a hedgehog than buy anything from them.
  11. What magnification are you using the scope at?
  12. If you want the rolls royce get a wolf eyes seal, there much better built, plus power adjustable tailswitch, and easily adjusted from spot to flood.. The nightmaster is good, versatile, but it just doesn't have the quality and ease of use of a wolf eyes. The T20's are good for the money, but a nightmaster will blow them out the water, even more so with an extension tube, theres no comparison. Best beam goes to the nightmaster, best build goes to the wolf eyes seal.
  13. No dickheads, no problem I like it. Look the forums been here for ten year, I'm sure losing ten, twenty or a hundred+ whining twat's with nothing better to do, than moan or troll....would...............................probably improve things. Ian can you tone the language down please. There may be younger members reading this. Go play with your grubs.
  14. Matt the new rules are not being taken well, nothing new there. But people may feel less resentment towards the rules if all members were treated equally? In other words an equal playing field for all. Fairness. Do you have a problem with that? TC I'd personally like to know what the deal is, whats the point in this topic? For any retards or wind up merchants looking for a bite, there's clear guidelines at the top of the general talk section stating the rules. Now if you cannot live with the fact, that your not allowed on here to post images of tits, cocks, and arses...... Then do

  25. Had a look out myself last night, farmer had cut two small fields, shot about thirty rabbits, seen a nice roe buck out on a grass verge and a large dog fox in one of the fields... had a nice surprise on the way back three badgers running down the centre of the road in single file, took awhile to shift out of the way of the motor.
