  8. Good post Butler, I would think the same could be said of bull blood as well. To some extent that is true but the thing with bull IMO is it takes more away from a "RUNNING" dog than it puts in (yards count in this game). It also takes alot of breeding out as it is very dominant and shows through 5,6,7 generations down the line. You don't need bull to put that do or die attitude in a dog selective breeding of the right lurcher lines will do that for you. To be honest a dog doesn't need to be game in the truest sense of the word to take deer large or small because most of the time the

  13. I'm going to pin this thread in this section, just to get some feedback from members about the forum. Is the colour still too bright ? Are you managing to navigate around ok ? Should anything be added to the site, sections, features ? Does the forum run slow or only at certain times ? Any input positive or negative would be great

  15. Fence snaring is deadly I have a field there to do, might have a wander out soon, clear the head..
  16. Some of his videos are entertaining, although as said some look fairly amateurish running round like nuggets firing shot after shot at rabbits, but hey if it sells dvd's hes getting it right... love him or loathe him he's been around a bit and produced a lot of videos..
  17. Prior to these the deerhound greyhounds were the dogs nuts, as Chalkwarren and some of the other old timers know all too well...
  18. I shot them for you ya messer, then truffle pig retrieved them... I can remember when you were brave enough to walk out with us but like the dogs in the pics them days are long gone you messer Too old
  19. I shot them for you ya messer, then truffle pig retrieved them...
  20. What a farce, the trap was set for rats doing his neighbour a favour, and some other neighbours moggy is prowling about probably shiteing all over their lawn in the process, I'd of said no case, the cat shouldn't of been there... fook sake lucky were not in the states you can drop a man in your garden with a gun over there never mind trap a moggy that shouldn;t be in your garden... Newspaper articles, I'd be doing an article on people keeping their pets on a leash or not getting any... Media Muppets
  21. Noisey (spook stuff sometimes), ammo expensive (200 rounds £50 compared to £14 for .22), messy even if your head shooting them, like a blood bath in the back of vehicle, once you get any numbers in there , and they don't seem any were as consistent as a .22 with grouping. Not for me anyway, .22 will do it all, if I want long range crows I'll decoy the fookers with a scatter gun If your looking for a good gun, get an anschutz carbine rifle, standard or thumbhole, now they are sweet
  22. Hes in his 70's always beating on the moors, fit as a lop he was running after the bunnies to pick them all up... Yes I use a .22, not a fan of .17 HMR's very popular these days, more of a fun gun to me, just my own opinion, want to buy one ... Was doing some snaring last week nothing flash, might get up the dales with p&g if I get motivated...
