Get a fixed mag scope like a 6x or 8x, cheap job will do, I've tried a few and always seem to go back to the cheapo nikko stirling x6 mag, great for eye relief, when aiming at different angles out the window when lamping...

Nah wouldn't attempt to shoot one, too much room for error if the placement isn't bang on.. Centrefire for me. HMR I'd stick with bunnies and crows..

Use red filter to spot, then a white light to run, you want your dog to see properly when lamping its dangerous enough as it is... I'd take a red filter for lamping rabbits anyday over any other colour, they do work, but they can still spook easily if they've been overlamped..

It helps when a farmer gives you money to shoot em have you been picking up road kill again, bet you cover some roads to get that much game. Yeh roadkill mate, thats the one... can't beat driving down road or track all nice and legal no hassle
