Guest Ditch_Shitter
" Fenn Shui " and " 簡體中文 ". most likely Quote Link to post
Guest The Big Fish
You wont be far wrong there Ditch. This foreign shite is worth feck all, in fact its probably not even worth anything for scrap. Its our scrap metal that gets sent out there to make this shite and then they are sending it back here as fake traps. I wonder if anyone has thought about the consequences of setting one of these fakes, when the spring trap approval list, states exactly which traps can be used legaly in the uk? I bet auld "Fenn Shui" mk4 or 6 isnt on the list and neither will the "brodyglipper" Quote Link to post

OldTrapCollector 377
To be honest that doesn't overly bother me because I shan't be using them, they will be for my collection only. If I was using them then only true genuine Fenn (or at a push, Springer) would do for me. I was just interested what they actually did have stamped on them (or any other similar trap that you might come across), that was all . . . OTC Quote Link to post

Guest Ditch_Shitter
They'd be around the #220 mark then? Most definately Not on the british Approved List, for very good reasons. Would that be his Setting Tools to the middle there, Fish? Silvery things? 'Setting Tongs'. Must say, they might do for a #110, but if ever I was to find myself buggering about with anything nearly so awesome as a #220, I think I'd want a somewhat more robust and reliable tool! As ye say; Ye wouldn't want ye hand in one! Quote Link to post

Phil Lloyd 10,739
http://www.molemann.co.uk/images/100_9639.jpg an someone tell me if these are anygood they okay to me cheers If you get onto this guys website,..you will see how he compares the Bodygripper with the Fenn He appears to recommend setting the Bodygripper on its side,.in the manner of a 'jump trap' The 'Fu Yung' trap may well be dirt cheap,.and perfectly legal to SELL,.but,.if you intend to stick within the law of the UK and follow the Spring Traps Approval Order,..then ONLY the BMI Magnum varieties,.110,116 and 55 plus the Victor Conibears,.are passed by the Ministry as being LEGAL to USE... I am all for guys trying to make a buck..$$$$$...and why not,...but,..rules is rules.... Edited May 2, 2007 by CHALKWARREN Quote Link to post
