I've an astra estate diesel with the 1.7 cdti (isuzu engine). It does 50 mpg. It's just clock 168,000 today. Should pick a good one up for about a grand.

Got an astra estate LPG gas. £30 to fill a tank and I get 300-350 miles out of it.

Picked it up for a grand. Good family motor and plenty of room for the dogs in the back.

I've heard of people using gas bottles to fill there motors.............very cheap indeed....... :whistling:

same here......, im very happy with mine,

i was told by a mate, who is a panel beater and sprayer, that you dont see much rust on the body work of peugeots, because before they get painted, apparently they are dipped in a galvanized coating, how true this is i dont know,

cheers,

Had two astra,s second one being a 05 cdti diesel one cracking engine that was good on fuel and cheap tax, also had an old peugeot 405 diesel estate that wernt bad on juice and not in bad nick for a P reg, thinking of looking at the peugeot 406 diesel now. They seem cheap money for a dogging bus and are supposed to be reliable  Cheers Atb
