  1. Beddy/beardie/border/bull with 1/32 whippet..hard as fcuk, doesn't do a thing it's told and runs in to just about every fcukin thing it comes across but has done 10...I think
  2. Tried the Zpey style rods while on Ballogie a couple of years ago. Once you get to grips with them the line really does fly with a short underhand cast. Really surprised that they didn't take off the way they should have.
  3. Keep an eye on them to see how much they go for. You may not get the best price for them just as the season's all but done...having said that, they're quite rare so may sell easy.
  4. They were designed mostly for salmon. Not many about now so they may be worth a few quid to someone. Try ebay to see how muche they're going for.
  5. Haha never noticed the we photo bombing ferret
  6. Good thread with some differing views and opinions. I can't for the life of me figure out why people would buy these pups...non working parents, grand parents, great grand parents etc so no graft in the blood at all. There's no selective breeding to retain good traits and remove bad traits as there's no graft. Then there's the price, which is quite dear but made worse because of what i've just stated and going by some of the posts, you just don't know what you're gonna get. Massive gamble taking on these pups imho.
  7. Just checked...it was Gallup 360 that I bought. Now at £23
  8. It is mate but I'm not sure if it's the same strength as the stuff I was referring to...maybe wrong though :-)
  9. Beautiful place mate but I think I'll stick to the Munros. Done a small hill today as the GF isn't used to hillwalking. She done well but it'll interesting when Nevis comes calling in Jan
  10. Go onto ebay and look up Glyphosate. It comes in a 5 litre drum and sells at around £28 delivered. Don't buy any commercial crap from B&Q as this stuff is potent in very small doses. I mix 100 ml with 5 litres (which is only 20 ml per litre so last years) of water and spray it. I will be reducing the dose next time as it kills everything stone dead. Apparently it's industrial strength and is used by the farmers on large crop fields before planting
