Tuzo 251
Well done lads, this is what i stay on these forums for....you take a old hand at the game who has many years at the rabbits and one of the young bucks who is not long in the game but both have a passion for what they do who are never on here putting others down or bigging themselves up....one by all accounts still walks out carrying a injury when he should be back at home resting up but refuses to let the lad down and one runs if you were to listen to some gubs a second rate cur bred from non-workers,but they still hunt together shoulder to shoulder having a few good nights out and competing in the competition without any hitches or bitching.....good on you both.....this is what its all about Best of luck with storm world.hunters on your next round mate. Well said Gaz........ Quote Link to post

dennned 172
i'd have thought , first and foremost , the safety of the dogs was paramount , -3 and the frost allready in the ground , spells a recipe for disaster , would'nt it be better to wait another day or two Quote Link to post

They are returning tomorrow, (sunday), as they have work on monday. So we have tro try our hardest to accomadate them. I've had dogs long enough to know when not to risk them, and even if this was the final, I wouldn't run my dog if I thought there was unneccasary risk. Cheers. Quote Link to post

This isnt a criticism mate but I have to agree with den here. As you know running on frost is no good for the dogs feet may as well run them on tarmac. I know the temptation to run your heat willl be huge given the distance travelled, but surely it's in everyone's interest to put back the heat till the weather becomes milder. It's a shame folk have travelled up but there's nothing to be gained running in these conditions surely.....maybe a days ferreting is in order so the trip is not a total loss. As I said not a criticism just an observation I'm sure you'll both do the right thing.....best of luck to both of you regardless. Quote Link to post

FOXHUNTER 5,021
Congratulations WH . Storm ran very well , picking up some long slips that he had no right in catching Its a shame the weather wasnt kind and there wasnt many rabbits about but at least we ran a few. Its a wonder we got out at all considering Woodga's cracked ribs , he looked in real pain . I hope those falls havent done any more damage mate. You need plenty of rest now and give it time for those ribs to heal but knowing you Im sure it wont be long before youre out chasing bunnies again Quote Link to post
