it depends mate, some of those mincers aint powerful enough to grind the bone, all you can do is give it a go, Im presuming you want to mince rabbit, so you can get more in your mum's freezer without her moaning, plus you can feed the dogs some too

and yes, the ferts will eat everything

Believe it or not but the bones will blunt the plates in your mincer, Not that the plates are sharp but they rely on sharp 90 degree edges inside the holes on the plates once these become slightly rounded off thats the end of your mincer.

I know cos I've done it

Like Kay says Feed them raw dogs love it all, Ferrets will eat what they want no probs.

Feeding raw meat has been covered before If you do a search then all will be reveled

I cant see a ferret choking on small bits of bone  after all, a ferret does not swallow rabbit bones whole does it, it chews everything up, if you put a whole rabbit in with the ferrets, you may get left with the skull and backbone, so where does all the rest go :hmm: it certainly aint in the shite pile, proof I think that the bones are crushed and chewed before swallowing, cant see minced rabbit being any different, so for youngsters, who's mum's dont want the freezer filled up with whole rabbits, its a good option

I wouldnt bother let the ferrets do the work.

If you only have a few ferrets, or individual cages with a couple in, you can just cut the rabbits in half with a knife or axe before you freeze them, then when it comes to feeding them theres less to eat, prevents them getting fly blown so easily and they defrost that bit quicker..
