stealthy1 3,964
Once I was given a castrated hob from women down the street, ex childs indoor pet, stunk of Johnsons Baby Powder, slung it in hutch and forgot about it for a couple of months until all my jill were ready to drop kits, thought I would give him a chance. First couple of outings he was an imbarisment, but when he realised what the game was he came good, now he smells like all my other fezzers. Patients Quote Link to post
Brimmer 220
Give it a bit of time like most of the fellow's have said, but if in time it isn't going to get stuck in, then as the season goes on it isn't going to clear the warren, (Rabbits get harder to shift as they get older). In the dales, we've found the strong hob the key, not even netting up sometimes! It will kill at will, with nothing escaping but the best. (this is where a strong shovell takes over, usually only 18" down anyway!) And will not leave untill everything is gone. Sounds daft i know, but why take 20 mins putting nets down in the wind and rain, when a couple of bunnies can be taken within 5 mins flat from a 12 holer. Quote Link to post
