koala 0
OK, this is the first forum I have joined and I am a little slow at figuring out the communiques. I am glad to have found a place that has so much useful information, I am afraid I do not have a lot to give back. I live in Hawaii, the most isolated land mass on earth, with my spouse, 3 dogs (English Bull Terrier, Wire Fox Terrier, and Airedale Terrier), 7 rabbits (I raise some breeding stock for local farmers), 4 chickens (The Girls), and a pond of some very prolific fish. We have choke (lots) feral pigs here that rip up everything, including the dogs. I was raised on what was caught, grown or produced by my parents. I no longer hunt (unless a pig gets into my yard), but I appreciate those that do. Thank you for being out there. Koala Edited October 10, 2008 by koala

pointer 543
welcome, ive been to oahu, hawaii twice. the first time i couldnt go hunting pigs as you had just had all that rain with the landslides(2006).i did get to have a walk out with a lad and his fox terrier.we didnt see anything but the terrier was used for hunting mongoose. in may this year i went back and got my first wild pig.those steep rainforests are the most physically demanding terrain ive ever hunted over.the lads i went out with do that two or three times a week,i have alot of respect for them and their dogs. i also went fishing and got a shark plus some good snappers.
