SportingShooter 0
Those GreyCrows were even harder to hit from a Ditch Which I was in most of the time with a shotgun, I've seen more Irish ditches than I cared for this week I can tell ya On a more serene and personal note. None of the credit for this trip should be coming my way, in my mind it should be pointed firmly, squarely and solidly at Sounder, and his wonderful and Beautiful family. I received a welcome which I could never have imagined. The way that every single person I met welcomed me to their country, and yes, their Home was astounding to me. I met so many people, all of whom had a heart of Gold. Sounder certainly has and Marie? Well what can I say apart from as big a Thank You as is possible. She was a star all week. The Kids? They were some of the funniest I have ever met, there was no knowing what was going to come out of their mouths next. Coming home today and walking into Departures, was very frankly heart wrenching. Something was ending which shouldn't have been. It seemed altogether too soon. And I arrived back in Wales and felt there was something missing, of which I know exactly what it is. Sounder and His Family. Always will be a part of me. To say we were great friends before was an understatement. But now? A Close friend is nowhere near. A Brother fits the bill perfectly. Thats what I consider him to be. The shooting was excellent, but it matters little to me. Just to be there with them would suit me down to the ground. In their midst as it were. Thanks You's? They must certainly go out to JohnGalway, for being a Gentleman you will rarely come across anywhere. To Dwighet for taking his time to lend me his Rifle and the time to meet us. DannyBoy3? I don't know what to say about him, what a laugh, thank you. Bing, ClayMan, Richie? Thanks for everything, you made it along with the rest, made it a pleasureable stay, just the simple "How ya now?" from them was warming. Once again, I really cannot thank Sounder, Marie and his family for such a week I would never have imagined. A Deeply Heart Felt Thank You. And to all of those I met way out in Clare, for making it that bit more special. That place feels like somewhere I should be. The only place I would up sticks and live. The ONLY. That's the amount I so sincerely enjoyed it. Warmest, Deepest Regards. SS
Malt 379
Bah, ya soft old git........! Sounds like you had a whale of a time SS, and fair play to Sounds for making you feel so welcome. I hope you left Sounds with 'a croaking Calon Lan' ringing in his ears! There'll be no sentiments like that about me when I come up to yours for a shoot, you'll be crying into the whiskey glass for a month after I've left, praying to the almighty that you'll never set eyes on another Pembrokeshire bloke ever again...
