i would advise to to check daily for any small gaps, i know so far the ferrets not escaped , but make sure you check regularly, i would also make sure theres some shelter for the ferret, if your leaving him unattended to wander round the garden

I know everyone always says as much space as possible is always better, but if its a young un' they can sometimes get a bit overwhelmed by it all if they have previously been kept in relativly small quarters.

Same goes, keep checking theres no way it can get out.

I totally agree, they can become somewhat conditioned to a confind area, its what most people do allow the ferret far to much space when they first get a ferret & wonder why the animal is skitty

the problem with giving a ferret to much room is that they can go a little feral on you and becoome a tad difficult to handle ... i have done this in the past as a youngster.... the best thing you can do for your ferret is get another one as they love company and are a much happier animal when they have another ferret to play with day in day out .........

My mate has a small garden round the back of his house (not grass) with solid brick walls and a flat wooden gate. all he does is block the small drainage holes through the concrete walls and they wander around. he has never lost one and i would do the same if i lived where he did. mine have a hutch/type of court with lots of hutches connected with tunnels and a big run attached and mine have never minded that they have loads of space
