Simoman 110
15 foxes??? Why?? Thats a crucifying, if i got a dig at one fox on a sunday i'd be happy but 15 is ridiculous Its not about sport in Australia, foxes are a huge problem that destroy many native species, when I was there poison baits (1080) were common. allgame 0
it is about the sport for poeple like me. i hate 1080 the foxes not only suffer horribly but also you dont know if the fox died from it because it takes 4 hrs to take affect i think, also good dogs die all the time and if a fox dies down a hole who knows how long it will be before i could work it agian. its like when people fill in dens they seem to think foxes will die or never come back Quote Link to post
Simoman 110
My mistake, yes I'm sure its also about the sporting aspects, thats why they were imported in the first place but I know the problems they cause to native marsupials, birds and reptiles so perhaps the emphasis is often based more on control than sport? Yokel Matt 918
A good number there. I'd rather see them taken with dogs or guns than that 1080 crap. A lot of places where i stayed on NZ had the stuff air-dropped over their land... nothing really they could do about it either. It does for everything as well... unfortunatly there is only so much land you can cover with dog and gun. Quote Link to post
